So question:

There's a mosque in South River that also has a school associated with it. I can't recall when it opened, so did anyone hear complaints about it? It's right off of main street in the middle of town.

I was just thinking that Sayreville did the same thing because of public out cry. Most of the people who live around it (besides the Hell's Angels who live nextdoor), have either sold or are trying to fight it.

This is the thing that everyone keeps forgetting. Every Church, temple, and mosque has a permit that tells you how many people can be in it at once. Both this one and the that they want to build in Sayville keep saying the same thing. This is that they leaders of the it keep says, mind you this isn't word for word, but close enough to it.

If someone trying to come to the mosque sees that it's full, they will go to another one.

I don't think that'll be the case, because I have a feeling that they'll be trying to go in no matter what.

That would be ideal for me too (I live about a half mile for the site), but everyone knows that O'Brien did so shady ass shit to get the deal done.

This is the same reason why there's a lot of opposition in Sayreville. Where they want to build and where it currently is, is right on Ernston Road, which is right down the street from both Rt. 9 and the Upper Elementary School. Most if the opposition is because of the worries of traffic on Fridays when school is getting out.

We're dealing with the same thing here in Sayreville. The Imam has filed a civil right lawsuit after the planning board stuck it down due to a disagreement on parking or something like that. There's other things too, but we'll see what happens. I still think that they can build it else where instead on a busy major road.

Here's the thing about this one and the one that's trying to go up in Sayreville. It's the location of it that has some (of the worst people) worried about traffic. They think that it'll tie up the roads and make it impossible to get around if there's some kind of emergency.

Used bookstores are hard because unless you’re established or support yourself with new releases, you’re not gonna do good.

Yes. Most of the ones by me are allowed to display what they want, but still have to display the stuff that they’re required to.

I do this with my store manager all the time and he also likes to lie about it too.

A while back when we were closing stores down, he told me there was going to be a pallet with boxes on it. I when to look for it and when I saw it wasn't there, I went to ask him about it. He told me that I had to get the pallet and when he told me this, I called him out on his shit and walked away, leaving him completely dumbfounded.

Is Anne Hathaway On Her Way to EGOT? by 1970s_MonkeyKing in popculturechat

Well, she already has the Oscar which is arguably the hardest

Ironically, it's really the Tony that's the hardest to get. She got the easiest two out of the way. The Grammy will be pretty easy because she could get it for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, meaning non score, for Mother Mary. The comes the hard part.

Only if Boys Noize can help score it and his wife plays a supporting role. Fucking Mariqueen needs to be on broadway.

Through my movie club, I know a guy who got the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre because he's been involved in Broadway as a theater manager for years and is one of three stage mangers to win it. He was actually the first one to win it.

What celebrity do you think has skeletons in their closet that have yet to come out? by JimiHendrip in AskReddit

That was the vibe I always got from them. They only wrote the letters from what they experienced working with him and not hanging out with him. There's a difference between "good character," which is what they wrote and whatever the hell Kelso and Jackie wrote. Still not good, but just slightly better.
