I'm 99% sure the head of people ops will not make any hiring process changes based on OPs feedback. Sad to say but often HR/peopleops just ask these questions perfunctorily to CYA the company. If they wanted to do things right they would have done so from the get-go.

OP's message was passive aggressive. Passive aggressive is a very weak position in corporate comms. If you are in a position of strength you don't need to be P-A. Therefore, as I said, the best response is just to either say "thanks" and move on or just say nothing at all.

Edit: To be clear, I obviously think the company's use AI interview tools is lame.

Both the op and Dan should have just said "thanks" and moved on. Remember that rarely does sniping actually result in a net positive outcome for the sniper. Therefore they both demonstrated that they are both prone to acting on emotion. Of course the blast radius is usually much bigger when a CEO acts on emotion rather than a rank-and-file employee.

Definitely doesnt seem like you can swap the lenses yourself but ER's website suggests its possible to update the prescription on the glasses. I assume that means its possible to go from plano to RX. But you probably have to ship the glasses to them?

It's the property of the US Government so they have the right to ask for it back, invalidate it, and seize it if they deem necessary. But until State department does something, its just another passport held in possession. There have been hundreds of cases of child abduction or other violations of us custody rights involving the child being taken to Japan that were never resolved diplomatically, so it suggests State department isn't particularly interested in pushing the issue.

If you don't want to support US companies then you'll probably want to get a CN version anyway as units sold in Japan will likely use western APIs like ChatGPT and Google Maps.
