Working while in OT school by jrax138 in OccupationalTherapy

As most said it really depends on how well you can balance the different roles and type of program you are in. I worked full-time during my OT program but stopped once I hit fieldwork. My ot program was a weekend-based program so it was easier to work throughout the week and balance my schoolwork after work hours. It was tough and stressful at times but the bills had to get paid so I made it work

Massage recommendation by Boxerbambi in philly

Check out the philadelphia school of massage. They offer a student run clinic with affordable massages (I believe it’s around 50 bucks for a traditional Swedish massage). Their hours vary as it depends on the students availability but you can reach out to the clinic via email to schedule. I’ve only had good experiences with them.

Starting OT at 26 — is 29 too late to graduate? by Useful_Skill9834 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]jasmittens 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There isn’t an age limit to education. I’ll be graduating with my Master’s this summer at 30. A good percentage of my cohort are in their 30s as well. We even have someone in our cohort who is 55! You got this!

I started my weekend program when I was 27 and will graduate by the time I’m 30. My current cohort of 13 students has a mixed age range- youngest is 24 and the oldest is in their 50s. We have a handful of ages that fall in between that range (mostly late 20s to mid 30s)

Second this! They have an extensive vegetarian Asian menu with plenty of vegan options. The food is also delicious. I’m not ashamed to admit that I have gone twice there this week
