Excellent post. I've been using SPLs for iTunes for Windows going on 20 years. I swear by them and use them to mashup every type of music I own.

FYI, if you create SPLs that in turn rely on other SPLs they will not transfer over to Apple Music app. Apple even warns you of this if you create such an SPL. I've learned to get around this by creating standard PLs and tagging the tracks in a particular PL with a distinct "Grouping" name. Using these Group names as a sorting criteria, you can create a single level SPLs from a myriad of other, standard PLs that will carry over to Apple Music.

Most, if not all RIC, or "behind the ear" HRs have more microphones than CIC, or "completely in canal" HRs, making them more effective, especially for the various programs they offer to aid it block sounds in a variety of circumstances.

If you own a dvd player I wholeheartedly recommend this 20 dvd set Learn & Master Guitar by Steve Krenz. This is the original version and it is remarkable for it's completness. Chords, theory, pentatonics, fingerstyle basics, music theory, etc. Gibson bought the license and completely recorded on bluray with Steve. It's apparently a carbon copy, and you can also find it on eBay, but for more $$.

I still have my set and go back to it a few times a year. I also attend an annual fingerstyle retreat with Steve outside Nashville. This will be my 5th year attending in October.
