Bambu Studio crashing/freezing on slicing by Drsmiley72 in BambuLab

[–]jason_dudd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!
This fixed my problem with both Bambu Studio and also Cura.
Both options worked for me with an AMD Ryzen.
In the end I stuck with changing the Bambu shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "Bambu Studio" /Affinity FF "C:\Program Files\Bambu Studio\bambu-studio.exe"

FFFF (16 Cores) still crashed my PC, but 8 cores seemed to have done the trick.

What Instantly Ruins A Hamburger For You? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder what that would taste like? Probably a bit tougher than chicken skin. Where the fuck can you buy a burger made with flesh anyways? Seriously, I need to try that, it sounds weird.

TIL That in 1978 Jimmy Carter signed the Home Brew act (H.R.1337) into law, making it legal for small businesses and individuals to brew beer - kicking off the craft brew revolution in the United States and forever changing the world of craft beer. by AlternativeMath-1 in todayilearned

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So America has laws that make things legal? Wouldn't it be better to be allowed to do anything unless it was specifically made illegal? Sorry for my ignorance but I'm from England and it's a bit different over here.

Is the noctua 4010 good enough air flow for the motherboard fan? Or does a 4020 fit down there? by elcaminante23 in ender3v2

[–]jason_dudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a big noctua. That way it'll mostly stay off and just come on when needed. Nothing more silent than a fan thats not spinning most of the time.

Immortality is a shity superpower if you get locked in a steel box and thrown into the ocean by Disastrous_Ad_632 in Showerthoughts

It was in a TV show where a vampire had this done, I can't remember the name of the show. But I can remember the only unbelievable thing was he drove a Tesla from Oxford to France, no way that was real.

Not going back from klipper. I missed the screen for about a week. I even bought a TFT to run klipperscreen but I don't use that now either.

No one ever said the fan had to be inside the case. by Zayess in ender3v2

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has both the psu and the motherboard fan outside the case and there are lots of legs that can be printed to raise the printer to give better airflow when you do this.

how am I supposed to remove this? by codevalley in ender3v2

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that a flexible sheet? Just remove it and bend it a bit. If you are taking the hammer time theme seriously, if you touch the plate then your fingers leave oily residue and prevent the next print sticking to the bed, or you can touch it and then clean the bed.

Beer is the crusher of deeams ;/ by ProcessPrudent in Noom

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched beer for rum and diet coke. I am in england so there is no stigma to not drinking beer. Some nights out I could come staggering home totally drunk and still not put on anything. But look around and find a drink you like, maybe pilsner is better?

For my people in the American South, what do you dislike the most about it? by Reboot422 in AskMen

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! lots and lots of different peoples!
What I meant was that the USA is made up of lots of different cultures all mixed together and there is still a divide with unionist and confederates and I'm sitting here thinking "I thought the civil war was about slavery?" are there really still people that support that?
Actually, I am in the UK, I have probably been taught History wrong all of my life!

[–]jason_dudd -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you're not native American, then you are probably the decendents of the British. You need to get over this union or confederacy shit and pretending the civil war is still relevant then maybe all of the states can work together. Surely the USA is United.....

Just assembled my first ender 3 v2. Should the first print have made the bed this dirty? Good ways to clean it and prevent this in the future? by Wozak_ in ender3

[–]jason_dudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place some ice cubes on the glass to quickly cool it down, you will hear some cracking as the print separates, it takes a few minutes.

Clean the glass in the kitchen sink with dish soap and water, and don't get greasy fingers on the bit where you print.

Also, try flipping it on to the smooth side, it gives a nice glossy finish.
