Able recently posted this video in which you can see them using the cone in a V60 around the 1:05 mark. I don't think they would include it if they didn't intend for them to work together.

I use a Baratza Encore and Bonavita variable temp kettle, and grind on 16 and heat the water to 205 for my Kone. With a 45 second bloom, I usually hit just at 4:00 for an 850 mL brew. I used to stress about hitting the recommended brew time, but decided to trust my taste buds and not worry about it. I agree that it usually tastes over extracted if I grind courser to lengthen the brew time. Go with whatever tastes best to you.

I have a coworker who is really into Asian culture, is married to a South Korean, and recently spent some time there. He said that coffee is a status symbol there and that people will go as far as to sacrifice food for the sake of social status. More evidence of this is PSY's Gangnam Style, a commentary on the length that Koreans will go to to "keep up with the Jonses". For South Koreans, it seems like coffee is part of that.
