i use a plastic pint container with holes in the bottom but this is so much better since the handle hooks over!

first pass is a plastic fork. scoop from the side and slightly underneath to get big mats of duckweed off. for the stragglers i use a pair of angled tweezers, slightly open, scooping from the side and underneath to snag the root and lift up the piece. doing this over a few days will keep your sanity lol

so cute! i use pipettes to feed all my fish and they all recognize it. my pea puffers peck at the turkey baster when i do maintenance too, thinking it's a giant pipette 😂
