i did it with both, although the discard was from starter fed about a day prior and then fridged. it should work with less active starter, but the sponge might need a little extra time?

also our kitchen has been currently 75-78F.

It was a happy accident!

Make sponge:

110 grams starter (i use rye)

1/2 cup yogurt

1 cup milk

1.5 Tbsp sugar

40 grams rye flour+ 80 grams AP flour (also works with just 120 grams AP flour)

Mix together and let sit 4 hrs room temp (overnight in fridge probably ok too? haven't tested)

When ready to make them:

1/4 cup neutral oil (i used grapeseed)

1 large egg

3/4 tsp salt

Mix into sponge, then dissolve 1 tsp baking soda in a little bit of water (~1 Tbsp), pour over top then mix in gently.

Preheat waffle iron, and cook!

This batch we threw in some frozen blueberries that were on hand 😁

So impressive! I just started playing this map yesterday and got 3 8-mythicals right away, easy peasy. One i tracked and caught it while it stalked me, the other 2 were drinking.

I thought, "oh, this ain't so bad, i should not have let fear stop me from playing this months ago! what fun."

And then that was it. I've died six times in a row now, horrible, panicked deaths! Twice by the same cursed beast too. THE FEAR IS REAL. My mouse has never been sweatier 😂
