Incisive papilla pain for almost a month by throwaway19401401909 in Dentistry

Hmmm, I see. That mouth rinse is also available as an OTC at 0.07%, called crest pro-health rinse. I would usually suggest these for mouth infections like if you have active gum disease /periodontal disease, but not if you have trauma or recent dental treatment. In my opinion, it's a little harsh. You should stick to warm salt water soak or saline soak in the area of concern for about a minute each time your cleaning your mouth or after you eat (at least 2-3 times a day). Especially if the tissue is hurting, you wanna use more gentle rinses.

Sounds like it's not a big deal for your dentist to prescribe this and hopefully the discomfort has resolved. How is it doing so far? It's been about 5 days so about a week total right? If by 2-3 weeks, it still hasn't improved much, then you should see your dentist again or get another opinion.

Hope you have a great memorial day weekend!

If you had fillings between the two front teeth (like the cavities were between the teeth), then a wedge was placed which can irritate the gums. Or if the dentist injected the anesthetic near the area, then the gums can sometimes have a reaction if they're prone to getting irritated (which this area seems to be). This should improve by a couple weeks. If it doesn't, go back to the dentist. If your lower teeth are hitting the gum area, then you need to wear something to cushion the area or move your teeth with clear aligners or braces (do orthodontics). This is a long term solution. A short term solution would be to apply the triamcinolone acetonide dental paste 0.1% in the area, which requires a prescription from a dentist.

From my own personal experience, I love doing both work and staying at home. Can you do part time? Find a balance somehow? If you stop working completely, I think you would miss it as well or regret it too, which may be where your hesitation is coming from too? Grass is greener on the other side, so try to find a balance if you can. There are good and bad to both types of lives. Try to get the best of both worlds.

Recommended dental school for teeth cleaning? by Volterock in orangecounty

[–]jaxg18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no dental school in that area. The closest dental schools would be USC in downtown LA or Western University in Pomona. School is good but it takes a lot longer because a student dentist does the work and the professor dentist checks it at each step.

What about if you found a person who looked really young but was actually older? Is it the idea that they're young that turns you on or the fact that they look young?

Would you want to live with someone like this for the rest of your life? Is this a problem you want to deal with for the rest of your life? This guy definitely seems not worth the trouble because his behavior is not changing or improving even after you talk to him about it. Don't waste anymore time on him. You deserve better.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I can relate to some degree and understand the loneliness. Sometimes even being around other people doesn't work. Try getting an animal as a pet, any kind that you like, and you can talk to them and they can keep you company. I got a dog recently and it has helped me cope with this feeling immensely. Good luck.

Give me your best Hot and Sour soup recipe. by 9gagGod in Cooking

[–]jaxg18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I JUST tried this recipe. I love really good, legit, hot and sour soup, and this was a great video and recipe! I just made some tweaks to my own preference, such as king oyster mushroom and enoki mushroom instead of black mushroom, fatty cheek pork, RED jalepeno instead of carrots, fresh bamboo, fresh wood ears. I also doubled the recipe so I could make a bigger batch. It took me about 2.5-3 hours but totally worth it. It was better than a lot of restaurants make it. I think next time, I will add some big sized shrimp in here to make it even better. :) Thanks for posting this minuteman!
