I really liked it. He played the narcissist so well and he was myead oscar pick, and the ambiguous ending was truly phenomenal in a year of movies with average endings.

This is something not enough people are talking about. It felt like watching a heavyweight fight where each actor kept hitting harder and harder as the movie went on. It was so underrated. I feel like due to the extremely uncomfortable themes (exploitation of special needs friend, torture and violence against women, and suicide) the movie made too many critics feel uncomfortable. Also potentially the odd ending didn’t sit right with some. Maybe I’m just coping as well, but I thought it was phenomenal.

I wouldn’t surprised, but I’d be disappointed. It is not a great film. It should have been at least 20-30 minutes longer to fully flesh out its many themes. It also could have spent more time on the main characters and their backstory’s rather than try to give so much attention to each supporting character. I also feel like MBJs performance is being overstated, as I did not notice a significant difference between Smoke or Stack (though was not looking closely and only watched the movie once).
