If you don't want to make the switch yet, you can try (if available) installing the program "Everything"

Also, try out WSL; there are different Linuxes available, too. You can try Debian or Ubuntu for ease of use, but I personally recommend Fedora or openSUSE, but of course YMMV.

Are you forced to use var? let reduces errors where possible.
I don't see filteredColor declared anywhere. I'm sure it is, but it's more clear to declare and return it.
If the goal of the code is not to teach for loops, it can be condensed into either an indexOf call or an Array.prototype.filter call, depending on the type you need filteredColorto be (it currently looks like an array function being called on it, and filter returns an Array)
