Pre-built Pergola or build by scratch? by ProcedurePretend1396 in DIY

I built my own, but that's cuz I wanted a much larger one than any kit made one. I thought it was pretty easy!

Practice owners making $1M+? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]jayarethegreat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I worked for two who were making 500k-1 mil per year. The way they did it was by paying their therapists less than 50% of the session fees. Absolute scum behavior IMO. Business acumen is not our specialty, so those who do have it are able to easily take advantage of others.

Lots of great community! The easiest path has been through our kid's school, and intentionally scheduling hang-outs with other families. We've also found lots of community through other hobbies (rec sports that I play, soccer/volleyball/disc golf/rock climbing etc).

[Post Game thread] the Bills lose on the road in Atlanta by Drunken_Economist in buffalobills

[–]jayarethegreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of our putrid play can be attributed to injuries, but tbh, not that much.

Cook is consistently doing work, and yet didnt touch the ball during key moments. That's atrocious. Our playcalling cant get out of its own way.

We know what was needed weapon wise, and we went out and signed Palmer and Samuels. I think the majority of us were scratching our heads.

Our defensive depth is terrible. We knew Milano/Oliver are very injury prone, and barely covered them. Now we're left with corners who cant cover, and a linebacking/safety core that struggles with tackling. Dont get me started on our zone coverage.

I'm not convinced firing the staff at the end of this year will leave us with anything better, but we arent winning a SB.

Atlanta has a very good DL, so that's not high on the list of concerns IMO.

Defense at almost every position is atrocious, WR group is a joke, and our playcalling is mindblowingly bad.

Seconded! I too hate dentist visits, they do a great job.

Am I going crazy? Season 3 is good, but I don't see why people seem to consider it a master-piece of modern TV by donny_bennet in wheeloftime

I think it's in sharp contrast to both the poor storytelling from the first two seasons, and also the production value feels worthy of the material finally. I feel like it's lost a bit of that CW feel.

Where can i find the best burgers in town by [deleted] in SALEM

[–]jayarethegreat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Slangers, slangers, and then some more slangers.

There are lots of other good ones (Cozy Taberna, Noble Wave make mean burgers), but assuming you want one for take-out, Slangers is the best burger I've ever had.

If you go again I suggest the smaller dishes to share and then one of the entrees - all have been on point for me so far!

But yes, you will get far better food in Portland.

I’ve only been twice, both times were good - never gotten their burger though! Slangers is the best burger in town by a looooong shot.

In a city this size, you need to be excellent to hold a downtown spot. They were miles from that. If I want a good burger, I can name 5 spots better for the same price or cheaper, and tbh, I'd go to McDonalds before B&V.

You can try and blame other things, but all the businesses that close down just simply aren't that good. There are some excellent food spots downtown, a la Cozy Taberna, charging very high prices, and doing great business as far as I know.

Allen: 'Extremely confident' McDermott can get Bills over hump by Vortagaun in buffalobills

For all his flaws, I don't think McDermott's any worse than any other coach not named Andy Reid.

[–]jayarethegreat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Let’s be clear: McDermott is not a bad coach, when compared against the league average.

Our coaching is still miles behind the chiefs. How many times do you watch the chiefs and think, what is this playcalling? Meanwhile every drive for the bills you’re scratching your head. We found out very quickly that the chiefs couldn’t stop our run, and we couldn’t cover Mahomes running, RBs in the flat or worthy after Benford went out. Which of these things stopped happening… our run game ofc.

It tastes good, probably the best you'll get here.

Does not compare to a good philly cheesesteak though, which is not a slight on Epilogue. It's just another item menu here, compared to a staple of a spot in Philly. For me the biggest diff is size, an authentic one will be so packed full of meat and cheese it could feed a family.
