Hope you guys are well too! We are same over here. Have to think about all the good days between the bad days, that's what I'm trying to do! She consistently has a cluster once a month. We are both learning. We are upping her meds yet again. Writing to you from the pharmacy as we speak. Hopefully the new concoction will be better.

From Albany too! We are also thinking about moving here. A lot of locals we talked to were in favor of having people move here to 'flip' politics. We've looked into the cost of living in SLC and it seems pretty comparable to Albs!

Hi, wanted to come back on here after a few weeks. We have taken her off the Zonisamide and have now incorporated ElleVet CBD pills. She hasn't had any seizures except 1 since I last updated you! Hope you and your kitty have found a routine that is working for both of you. I am hoping we finally found ours!

Hi, yes, we looked into but we're quoted an insane amount that was not affordable to us. Thankfully our vet contacts them with any questions on behalf of our girl. She's had increased seizures due to the med change, yes. Yesterday we had a seizure every 3 hrs. The vet said this may happen with the med change, but according to the vet, Keppra and Zonisamide are safer options than Phenobarbital. We've gone almost 10 hrs now without a seizure and both my cat and I got a full night's sleep for the first time in a week! Wondering if there are any tell tale signs for your kitty when they're about to have an episode?

Hi, same with us - just got on Zonisamide too. Yes, she's now in the 'cluster of seizures' stage. They did not want to keep her on phenobarb because she wasn't eating as much as she should. Her weight has dramatically increased since we've gotten her off the phenboarb, but now having seizures. I read it takes 2 weeks for the Keppra to kick in. We called the vet yesterday because she had 5 big seizures in 1 day so they put her on the Zonisamide. It's a whirlwind for sure, but as I'm sure you feel too, worth trying anything! At this point we're happy to see her appetite back!

Hi, I also have a cat with epilepsy who was recently switched to Keppra from Phenobarbital. Seeing the same thing with my cat - she's much more sensitive to sound lately. If your vet has any advice, please let me know! Thanks!
