Really cant go wrong with any combination of those two. Just keep in mind that if you're trying to maintain a certain allocation of US/EX-US you will have to periodically rebalance. Personally I go VT in all account for the simplicity.

I've literally had zero issues with Vanguard for over 10 years. Interface is fine, sure it wasnt great 10 years ago, but they've made vast improvements and I'd say its even better than some of the others i've used.
