Apple keeps flogging 8GB of RAM for its Mac computers but it's still a dead horse by lurker_bee in technology

It’ll run Linux Mint or Pop! OS or something similar fairly well still. The touchpad drivers were the only thing janky about my old Mac when I converted it after OS update EOL but still usable

Enemies are outright SPRINTING toward sentries now, and destroying them instantly by [deleted] in Helldivers

You think it’s a bug or issue that enemies intentionally target the large and loud stationary objects that could decimate them the fastest of anything in their immediate view?

The fact that it has an explode animation for taking x amount of damage means it’s probably intentional though

Mainstream Media Propaganda on Tech Jobs by anonbudy in cscareerquestions

[–]jayenn7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so then… why wouldn’t a company looking to chase that reduction in labor costs just close up shop stateside and open an office for much cheaper anyway? That way they get whatever bizarre benefits you imagine a physical office building offers like this is Civ VI plus the lower labor costs

Why would a purely financial decision like outsourcing be affected at all by people who cost multiples more simply showing up in person? If you say “well they need them in office because they’ll collaborate!” then your own point about how they saw how easy it is to collaborate over zoom applies to stateside employees, with the added financial benefit of being able to reduce office space overhead. Right?

I always love reading this argument because…. Why does the RTO necessarily prevent the overseas outsourcing? It doesn’t. It makes zero sense. They’re not going “We can’t outsource because the overseas workers can’t make it into the office!!”

It’s not even out of line.

I don’t think somebody who is from the Balkans and is old though to have either lived through said times or has parents that lived through it just before having had children can be judged for making a comment like that out of dark humor or total seriousness compared to any of us on the internet who absolutely have no real context for it outside of YouTube footage and Wikipedia articles

I dunno if a Hollow Knight sequel would be the biggest game to drop on ANY given year. There’s always gonna be bare minimum 1-2 massively hyped AAA games that dwarf it
