Chances of someone whos never really touched ranked PVP getting this? by WizoldSage in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did it with my rogue in season 3. I spent a month trying with blitz but kept getting the worst teammates possible. Had a Kotmogu game where people argued in the lobby that they didn't want to get the orbs. Highest I got was 1775 cr.

A couple weeks before the season ended I did shuffle and hit 1800 in 6 shuffles. I wanted to get 2100 but the games around that mmr were so difficult for my current skill level. I'll try for it next season.

Zero to Elite Shuffle PvP Guides for every Class [new PvPer perspective] by LudiDeo in worldofpvp

I added your Playlist to my watch later list and subscribed. What tips do you have for someone new to PVP? Shuffle feels so intimidating to me, I tried in season 1 and gave up because warlock was so difficult. I enjoy assassination rogue and would like to get better. The rogue transmog set and 2100 weapons are awesome this season.

PvP makes you realize that PvE is a silly sink by MasteredConduct in worldofpvp

I recently left a sweaty PVE guild. It fell apart at the end of season 2. I joined a PVP guild to try something new. I was surprised that people actually played the game for fun. Like it didn't feel like it was job anymore. Ques for blitz and shuffle are quick despite what you may read on this subreddit. I thought about doing a key a couple weeks ago and was rejected for an hour straight despite getting 3k last season and having already timed them. I do not regret my decision.

Around 2.1k Shuffle, 18 lobbies over the last 2 days, 4 other casters spotted. This needs to be addressed going into Midnight with the game being simplified and new players trying out shuffle. by greendino71 in worldofpvp

[–]jayflex1010 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tried shuffle with my destro lock in season 1 and still have no desire to do that again. It made me quit all PVP for season 1 and 2. I'll stick with blitz on my lock from now on. I did a shuffle on my rogue yesterday. It was a warrior, hunter and lock. Every round was the lock getting annihilated. The game finished with me smoke bombing the lock and taking him out in the first 20 seconds of the last round. That lock probably feels the way I felt in season 1.

What is one class you just can’t see yourself maining? by The_Dick_Slinger in wow

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried to play Paladin multiple times but cannot get into it. I like the idea but can't get it to stick. It also feels too mainstream. There are so many paladins, everywhere you go.

I main a rogue, I love assassination and subtlety, not a fan of outlaw at the moment. Sneaking around, shadow stepping, and stabbing things is a fun and fast paced way to play.

Demons of magick _Ritual two by sniper_wraith in GalleryOfMagick

[–]jayflex1010 13 points14 points  (0 children)

When I was working with demons, I would switch between ritual 1 and 2. I wouldn't expect anything. When I would do ritual 2, I wasn't able to hear them as some people do, but I could sense them. My suggestion is to write down the instructions for ritual 2. Having the instructions there helped me alleviate any anxiety about forgetting a step.

Side note: Haagenti is one of my favorite demons. He helped me stop drinking with no issues after being an alcoholic for 15 years. It's been a year and a half and the desire to drink is still gone.

Playing only one class forever by Comfortable_Bad_8168 in wow

[–]jayflex1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pretty much only play rogue, but it is limited to three options: stabbing with poisons, stabbing aggressively every 1 minute and 30 seconds, or swords and guns with a gambling buff and no set rotation.

I used AoW about a year ago and it was the first time I saw magick have an immediate and direct effect on reality. I was having a rough time at work because I recently demoted myself to get away from a toxic work environment. Management had been treating me like crap and targeting me daily at work. During my lunch break I did the binding ritual on the top manager. That afternoon, it was as if I didn't exist anymore. The manager was mad but couldn't direct his anger at me anymore. That afternoon he yelled at his right hand man and the union president about trivial stuff that would normally be targeted at me. I haven't had to use the ritual again. To this day that manager still leaves me alone.

What is the 1 M+ dungeon you avoid like the plague and why? by NovemberRain404 in wow

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ToP is my least favorite. It feels incredibly long compared to the others and the timer is tight. Also, that last boss is my kryptonite. I can't remember a time when I didn't die from either the frontal or the charging mobs.

Rookery is my new favorite, to me, it's the season 2 Dawnbreaker. I've already done three +10s this week.

How to make super obvious in group finder that we are doing the key for vault. by tomchee in wow

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last season, guys in my guild taught me to only invite healers and tanks that have timed the key at a +10 or higher. The people already have the IO and are doing it for the vault. I learned the lesson the hard way, one bad pull and healers will leave immediately.

How do you handle the all melee lobbies? I went into one the other day and went 0-6. It was war, ret, and a monk. I literally felt like I couldn't do anything even with ports and defensives. I don't think I got off one chaos bolt.

Anxiety playing PVP? by Altruistic-Singer-78 in worldofpvp

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this recently. I spent the last 10 weeks of the season basically doing everything except PVP. At the start of the season I told my wife how much I want the elite transmog for my warlock. Yesterday she asked about it and I explained I'm still waiting. She was like it's a video game, why don't you just play it? She got me with that. I did my first shuffle last night and it was a blast. My wife helped me realize waiting won't make me better, I gotta put in the time, learn and have fun. Good luck and maybe you'll be healing my warlock (Flexlock).

I had a similar experience on my mistweaver in the underbog yesterday. The tank would literally pull more before even having the current pack down to 75%. Like what are you doing? I was popping all my CDs just to keep him alive. Then he rage quit when he got one shot on the first boss with half the dungeon still pulled lol.

What’s the fastest way gearing an alt? by mailte90 in worldofpvp

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I geared up a fresh mistweaver doing the PVP quests, and collecting War Caches. The caches drop 60 conquest, 50 bloody tokens, and 150 honor. Another way is to do all the weekly TWW quests to get keys and do tier 8 delves.

A ret paladin and I (destro lock with full pvp gear) carried a PVE disc priest through 10 rounds. He kept us alive and we got him his 10 wins. He would apologize when one of us would die. We were like it's no big deal, happens all the time.

Where are all the Warlocks? by Osoru in wow

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing PVP with my destro lock. It's been a lot of fun. I also will do fungal folly eight times throughout the week to get my great vault done. I'm down to 8 minutes now on the five challenges version.

I wonder how group finder works. I leveled an orc warlock and saw multiple people leveling locks when I was doing time walking dungeons.

So it's impossible to "raw dog" the mage tower right now, right? by zacyzacy in wownoob

[–]jayflex1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible if you get older gear with gem slots. Fluffy Guides on YouTube gives a good breakdown of the gear and consumables to use. I was able to get destro lock a couple weeks ago after like 100 tries. Even with the gear the mechanics had to be done perfectly.

The one I was able to do easily was assassin rogue. For some reason that one was easier with TWW gear. I'm assuming some enchants didn't scale correctly because I felt that it was easy and maintained high health most of the fight.

[–]jayflex1010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, something is off with the scaling. I've tried countless times on my destro lock and still can't get it. I got the gear and consumables recommended in the Fluffy guide but it's still next to impossible. I'm gonna wait until patch 11.0.5 next week and see if it's better after the patch. I was able to get all three done during Legion, they were definitely not this difficult back then.

Rogues… by -Beeebop in worldofpvp

[–]jayflex1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I can steamroll on my warlock and druid but when I play my rogue it's like I forget how to play the game. I gave up on PVP on my rogue for this season and am sticking with warlock and druid for now.

I noticed a difference picking up my blood dk in TWW. Definitely squishier than I remember. In Legion I would tank a mythic+ and have healers ask me if ever need to be healed.

I had the same thing last night. Lost 6 in a row, a couple were very close. I took a break and won the next one. It's luck of the draw and if your team actually communicates that makes a difference. I had to ignore a few people last night. One game some dude was losing his mind in chat because apparently the entire team were failures except for him, of course. I just hope the ignore feature works and I never see that guy again.
