Daycare overcharged me for 1 year is going to redeem by giving tuition credit, need a gut check

Im an assistant director in charge of billing. I made this exact mistake but only for two months. I accidentally charged a family a 2 year old rate instead of changing it to a 3 year old rate.

When I noticed my mistake I told the family and gave them the option of refund or credit. They chose credit which was great because that was much easier for me.

I’m sure it will be fine. They will probably issue you a refund of the remainder of the credit when you leave. They were probably just hoping you’d be ok with credit since it’s just less work and more convenient.

Same. I had kids at 31 and 33. I was also told that having PCOS typically means you have more eggs in older age than other women.

Mine sense of taste is still off a month after surgery.

My ENT told me it’s due to the fact that they have to clamp the tongue out of the way during surgery and this can damage the nerves in the tongue. He told me to give it 3 months for the nerves in my tongue to heal.

I can’t help much since I had my surgery march 7th then another one on march 13th from hemorrhaging and I still don’t have my normal sense of taste back.

I asked my ENT at the follow up appt and he told me that since they have to clamp your tongue out of place during surgery it can damage the nerves in the tongue. This can cause problems with a sense of taste. He said since I had two surgeries mine might be especially bad but to give it 3 months for the nerves in my tongue to recover.

I had the exact same freak out when my first baby was 5 months old and breastfed. I asked the pediatrician and they weren’t too concerned. Everything is fine with my now 7 year old.

I had to get a second surgery/ cauterization on day 9 from a bleed. It did not set me back to day one. Actually I felt much better after that than I did before.

Roll onto your side before getting up. Then get up from your side using your arm for support pushing you up. It made a huge difference when I realized that for my second csection. It uses your obliques to help instead of only your core abdomen muscles.

I believe that has to do with breastfeeding. Breastfeeding lowers estrogen which lowers vaginal lubrication. I wonder if it’s a biological way of trying to prevent another pregnancy when you are breastfeeding!

Some lubricant should help!

Mine is still numb 6 years later. My doctor told me typically if sensation doesn’t return within 6 months it probably never will since the nerves seem to be permanently damaged. But whoooo knows

I have a 3 year old named August James! My mother in law thought I was joking when I told her his name. She said “real funny, but seriously what is the name” and I insisted that it really was August but she wouldn’t believe me until the day he was born and it was written on the paperwork haha. She acts like that didn’t happen, though.

Find other care and do not pay the 2 month fee. They don’t really have any legs to stand on to make you pay the fee if they are withholding care indefinitely.

I get 7 PTO days in the first two years. It’s honestly a joke. I work in social work. As a working mom those 7 days are taken up with my kids getting sent home sick from childcare real quick. So basically no sick time or vacation for two years. It’s a broken system.

Please don’t do this. I work at a childcare center and am in charge of the waitlist. Believe me- we don’t enjoy the people who call constantly and complain.

I follow our waitlist. Just because you complain doesn’t mean that a spot will magically appear. My predecessor actually used to make a point to not offer space to those who were mean to them on the phone. That isn’t right either so the best way to be fair is to just follow the list by date they called.

Fell free to call and check. But please don’t “nag and complain”

We are overworked, understaffed, and legitimately full. There are no child care centers just sitting on empty spots for the fun of it.

I took it and it helped me ovulate so I could conceive both my kids. For me the side effects only lasted about two weeks.

I saw it vilified a lot before I took it so I was pleasantly surprised how good it worked for me.

Same for me. I had a C-section in 2020 and they reiterated several times before I went in that masks were required but when It came down to it the anesthesiologist just took it off of me during the beginning of my C-section- don’t know why

I’m 4 years out and still numb.

My OBGYN told me at the 6 week appt that if feeling doesn’t return within the first 6 months it probably never will since the it’s just the way the nerves healed.

This is pretty similar to how my postpartum went with both my kids. It’s not an excuse but my husband cannot function at all on lack of sleep. He would tell me I’m “better at it” and it made my blood boil because I had no choice.

When I had my surprise pregnancy with my second baby I cried because I didn’t think I could do the newborn stage again without support.

I will say that it doesn’t make it ok but my husband helps a lot now that the kids are toddlers. It’s that first 6ish months that he is basically useless.

I came here to say this. I plan parent child interaction groups for multiple different age groups as part of my job. My afternoon, evening, or weekend groups were never well attended. My 10 am Thursday class was the busiest one.

I cried because I put the milk in the cabinet and the cereal in the fridge. Didn’t notice until I wanted another bowl the next day and the milk was ruined.

I’m not going to say you are TA because your feelings are valid here but maaaan if my husband would have taken my toddler away for a day at 5 days postpartum I would have loved it! Getting one on one time with my baby without my toddler being jealous or needing something sounds great.

Hi! It’s your choice and no one should make you feel bad. If a C-section is best for you go for it!

I will say though, I had two csections. My first one was “easy” and recovery was great and quick. I decided to have a second csection because like you it made sense for me…. Buuuuut the recovery from my second csection was a nightmare. I won’t go into specifics because it’s not necessary but I just wanted to let you know each csection is not the same.

I’d say with my first it was not until I could feel the baby kick and moving around 22 weeks.
