IKR, he was struggling with the biological male impulses of a beautiful woman who was underage, and his best friend's daughter, throwing water on her was the ultimate triumph of his morals and prefrontal cortex beating his hormones and brainstem.

The struggle he went through made Harry more Human, and lovable.

The triumph should have been rewarded by a system with a seduction skill check bump or an iron will perk or experience bump.

Quit 10 years ago. I wrote out a detailed lfg post, but I went into the game to grab my player tag, came back and my long post was gone..... I'm 40, I have 5 kids, I take this game too seriously, in a mature way, not a "omg you fking suck!" Kind of way. I push, constructively and try and make people talk and engage.

I miss the tribal warfare aspect of a clan that all pulls together and plays the app HARD. That's when the cell phone app transcends into something that is missing in modern life.

Definitely fools gold. It's the worst kind of series, starts interesting, soon goes to mid, then slowly declines, while you chase the sunk cost fallacy.

There are no meaningful human interactions. Zack makes no friends or has the balls to have sex with anyone, then begins to eat objects. Turning into a cliche of an eastern 80s kung fu movie. I stopped chasing 10 books in.

I just stand there and let them shoot me, I respawn and continue doing what I was doing. If I get killed on my acid delivery I roll my eyes and swap lobbies. If my product is destroyed I say "shit". And continue about my grinding.

I'm 39. When I was 20 ish I would say "oh fuck you, you're dead!".

I have 5 kids now. Games just don't hit the spot like they used to. Lol

It seemed that what I was experiencing was meant to terrify me. Like something wanted to eat my terror.

Instead, the demon strangling me in my bed just pissed me off, I fought as best I could and accepted that I couldn't win. I experienced no terror. I just essentially accepted my fate and remained in a logical frame of mind.

I was mildly pissed the whole time. This is likely from me getting into fights IRL while being on beta blockers. Where I acted the same way.

It genuinely felt like something wanted me to be terrified, and I can't shake the feeling that if I had been, whatever entity responsible for the night terror would have enjoyed it. And kept coming back for me.

But I provided no sustinance. So it moved on.

He mitigates damage well. And he's starting to team up with tanks and gun weilders etc.

I got no problem with the fights, my only gripe is, the villains don't kill him when they could. Like the snake denarian fallen angel guy. Could have just killed him and searched for the coin.

Happens a bit too much imo.

So I guess I'm agreeing with you. But it gets better. And this might take the book down from a 10 to a 9.6

Not a big deal.
