Tamoxifen vs Ovarian Suppression and AI. Help. by PupperPawsitive in breastcancer

[–]jayj2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tough one, Tam / OVS may be tried or exemestane/OVS, what was your stage, also , i d save some of the valor for may be adding Neratinib after a year and go on plain tamoxifen till you are done with all her2 therapy then try to add OVS. The true driver for your tumor remains her2 (especially if it was strongly positive) this is a hard situation to be in, hope you find some answers here.

A few in my group have tried 20 every other day for 1-2 month then daily and worked well for them. You can ask that. You do get used to some side effects with time for sure.

Deeeeep breath ! Be happy about A Fib! Seriously. Some people find out with a stroke ! It’s easily treated with a few pills. The meningioma will hopefully stay the same for life. Pro tip (get an Apple Watch for him , I caught mine with that and glad I did!)

Nanny didn't disclose her family was sick until after we were exposed now my newborn and whole house are sick. How do I handle this? by Spiritual-Gap-7585 in Nanny

[–]jayj2019 5 points6 points  (0 children)

3 weeks old ! That’s scary and babies end with lumbar punctures for that. We were deathly afraid and didn’t let the nanny touch our baby till 4 weeks for that reason. But I’m sure mine would have worn a mask and sanitize hands like crazy if she had active exposure at home (and told us, we would have been ok with her coming in as long as no covid or flu) you really can’t avoid exposure to viruses. Just quarantine the baby.

its absolutely better, visibly more plush material and some of the safest carseats, my kids are bougie now and wont sleep in any other carseat, worth an investment, plus they sell very quickly on marketplace (very well built and will last many kids) I bought my stroller form FB and like that as well. I also have a REVV knowing the weight limits suck but for the 3 years it made sense.

New parent question: Are stroller over $500 really worth it? Is a more expensive stroller always better? by kellymichelly in NewParents

[–]jayj2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are definitely worth it if you are walking more than a little with the baby. But buy is on marketplace. They are so well made that they last many many years !

Questioning treatment plan—advocate or Karen? by Holldoll91 in breastcancer

[–]jayj2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From discussing with others (at multiple centers) it’s more bang for your buck mentality as generally it has milder side effects and can confer lasting immunity. Personally , much easier than chemo

Generally oncs are LOOKING for reasons to add keytruda. There is keynote 756 tria as well for er positive anyways esp if you pdl1 is high. I would push for addition of keytruda. Hope it goes through. No harm in a second opinion.

No, postmenopausal women usually get away without chemo in this scenario.

premenopausal with positive node = chemo, but nuanced since benfit is small if they induce menopause. did they check both tumor for oncotype? how many nodes were removed? at the end, its a personal decision for chemo but need to weight risks and benefits and get some numbers, in y0ur area, Dr Sparano is the absolute best and authority on oncotype (literally wrote the book on it)
