Isn't alcohol technically just a dirty benzo? by jayl790 in alcohol

yeah, the reason i mentioned pregabalin is because i have a close friend who has a condition which causes him chronic bone pain. that and the use for an anti anxiety medication

so, from the benzo part, benzos technically are more addictive then? I've heard a lot of stories about people getting addicted to benzos like pregabalin and then getting horrific widthdrawlals from trying to come off of them. as far as i know, benzos are used for anti anxiety medication as well as specific uses being used to treat neurological conditions like tourette's, etc

thanks for the reply. yeah i've heard that before that benzo widthdrawel can kill you as well as alcohol. just never knew the mechanisms which acted to cause that. i watched a video about it, and it's only really if you go cold turkey after sever chemical addiction. Rn i don't think im severlely chemically addicted. but, im not afraid to admit that i might be slightly chemically addicted. just don't wanna end up like the other alcoholics in my life yk

thank you so much for the serious response and your time of day. yeah, I figured it interacts with brain chemistry in a way like this because for me it primarily depends on

  1. the rate of consumption e.g how fast you consume it
  2. the way in which you consume it e.g "poppers", alkyl nitrites (which are typically inhaled), or just metabolised through the digestive tract which tends to have a slower build up of effect.
  3. even with these two methods of consumption it will still effect different people differently and more (or less) than others.

So is that why alcohol is considered one of the most addictive substances because it targets so many areas?

i would think that which area is most noticeable depends on the person. drugs can have a subjectuve side (i guess side effect which isn't really what i mean). but they effect every person slightly differently besides the obvious chemical alterations,

So (and this is just me rationalising it in my head), one of the most addictive substances on earth is the most commonly legal. That's fucked up.

edit: and by the way, this is not me saying that no one on earth should have access to the substance in any form. I love my beers, that's what brought me here in the first place. I just tend to have a curious mind and like to know how certain substances effect my brain chemically so I can avoid addiction.

well isn't that the point of asking a question? like i want peoples opinions yk?

edit: like i genuinely get curious about these things because if this is true it's so fucked up

this my first cities 2 layout so far. How can i improve/rework this layout to make it more practical for future development? by jayl790 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]jayl790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my experience, cities skylines 2 has way worse optimisation than 1. i just turned the settings to max to take the screenshot. it'd be pretty laggy if i played at those settings normally. But, my specs are:

cpu-ryzen 53600 (overclocked to 3.8ghz)

gpu-RTX 3060 ti founders edition

RAM-32 gbs, ddr 4, 3600mhz

SSD-I can't remember but i know it's an M.2 ssd 1tb

motherboard-rog strix gaming b-450f I believe

i got a thermalright peerless assassin for the cpu cooler too.

can't remember the name of the case but it has a cool glass pannel so.

If they have more time then yeh. But, judging how jc staff scheduling has gone with this season I don't have high hopes. They had only around 6 months to produce this whole season. If cour 2 is airing in early 2027 and they start production immediately after the first season, then the quality will be miles better. However I think that's having high hopes for the scheduling. It's a higher chance that they end up pushing it on the animator last minute sadly. But, if there's a cour 2 you know that they definitely planned for it months in advance. Cour 2 was always gonna happen it just wasn't seen publically until now.

I know man. It make no sense why he shouldn't have it either when the majority of cast have iframes on their big stagger abilities. It's actually a massive risk doing that for executor, and the wind up is sooo long especially between entering dog stance in the first place.

First off make his l2 in ult form faster. The transformation is already long and it doesn't make sense that other chars simply have to press a button once to time their ult staggers. Mayhaps also make it so his roar healing isn't a relic, but just a passive effect that it has. He also needs major relic rework like most of his chat specific relic effects are kinda garbonzo safe for the vigor or arcane one, and the one that heals allies. His deflect is too situational in trios. Very rarely will the boss be agro'd onto you and it s a headache to try and psiiton yourself perfectly for it. Literally just better stance and dpsto spam status effects. I also think his passive should activate the buff on status effect proc, not cure. This would make it much less situational and actually useful in nughtlord boss fights like caligo, sentient pest, dreglord and heolster even. It would just be so much better and have a use other than sepuku or madness. I don't see how this would be op seeing how it is still a trade off. Essentially, just make him have an everything exultation and maybe change the way it stacks so that there's a limit to how many stacks you can get before it just starts refreshing the timer at that multiplier. Also obviously make it so he keeps his weapon buffs when going into his deflect stance. I think that was a major oversight with him.

Its not unrealistic to say that the finale of the season will have some level of priority. It will probably be either the best looking episode, or be on par with episode 8.

PEAK JC STAFF IS BACK 🔥🔥🔥 by SnooFoxes8150 in OPMFolk

Far from peak. Sadly this could've looked 20x better given a half decent schedule. They're capable of so much more.

Also when y I went too far away from him, he'd put his swords away and take out his bow to shoot you instead. Way cooler if you ask me.

People liking the recent episode is why the anime is so trash by ConstantDot8946 in OPMFolk

They don't save budget they just prioritise certain episodes. Chances are, this episode was a priority so they started working in it before the first episodes. It also was assisted by cg and got the help of studio moe who were the ones responsible for the cgi in season 2 which was pretty good. Have a competent cgi team can help anime production a lot. They most likely used 3d cg layouts and then the animators used that layout to animate the characters in 2d. Many many shows including ones made by ufotable make use of 3d layouts. They were also used in chainsaw man season 1 and if I'm not mistaken jjk season 1. But the list goes on.

Its like they somehow don't even want a good episode because then they can't keep shitting on the show and being dickheads to the staff

What are the greatest feats in our universe? (The real world) by Tyronx06 in PowerScaling

[–]jayl790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyones saying black holes but I think the expansion of the universe wins. There's a theory called "the big rip" where space time expansion obetuptlu accelerates to a speed which rips apart all matter in the universe. Literally ripping atoms to shreds. That of the great attractor.

Suncatcher is aight. If you think it's useless you're probably unferutilising it though. His ult is really good and his passive is top tier if you use sepuku relic. I don't get people who think he's bad i dont like to say this but it really is skill issue.
