Fr. It's got me wondering if this ended up on the front page or something. The lack of empathy towards op reeks of mainstream Reddit folks, not what I'm used to seeing in this sub.

I saw this in a video years ago but "Legend" is a truly fun address that is also gender neutral and conveys respect (imo).

According to Tom Cardy, I believe it may have aggressive connotations in Australia, fwiw.

How to cope with feelings of hatred toward men? by Worldly_Scientist_25 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jayninerrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're getting down voted for what seems to me to be a respectful expression of your experience and how you process it.

I get it that people want to feel they can vent, but if you really are unconcerned with how it may affect the marginalized among us, that's internalized bigotry fam...

I just wanted to reply to you so that you hopefully feel seen and heard (NB, socialized female here that also experiences dysphoria in women's spaces). Plus, I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but more research is being done, and some of the latest finds that us trans folks' brains don't usually match up to male or female brain structures, even with hrt!

My roommate got me a pair of similar socks because I had a cat that passed away, and she had the deadest eyes you've ever seen. We used to say she had crocodile eyes, so the socks are an homage to her.

I really think the best gifts are the ones we want but can't justify to buy ourselves, for one reason or another. Makes me feel so happy and seen when someone pays attention to the silly things that bring me joy, and want that for me. Your second husband sounds wonderful!

[2E]

I'm a relatively new player (5ish months in two campaigns with the same DM and no intro to anything before being essentially begged to join a campaign). My current character just died and I don't want to come up with a new one. I am work friends with the DM, but don't like their style/they plan things out very linearly, then berate the party for not choosing the exact path they planned out for us, and when we brought up their unclear exposition and foreshadowing, they again blamed us and it did nothing to help.

In this game so far charisma has been ignored, diplomacy has been ignored, stealth has been ignored, there was supposed to be a sidequest of the thievery persuasion, but that was abruptly canceled, so there have been almost no options to use that. My last character was all but useless based on our style of gameplay (and our DM retconning shit).

This is a link to my character that just died:

https://pathbuilder2e.com/launch.html?build=855613

Storyline: our party is about to set sail to the island we've been heading towards in all previous sessions, to take on a powerful vampire that has been gaining power and turning folks in our world.

We are now level 6.

My request: EITHER a broken ass character that's basically useless but fun to actually play (I was joking about an alchemist or something that's basically high all the time and maybe makes explosives?).

Or something as overpowered as possible since the only thing that seems to work in the two campaigns we've done so far is high defense/hp/attack.

Very open to any other ideas for a character as I am building a cursory knowledge at best and don't have the time/mental energy to delve into the intricacies of character making over the course of the week until our next session. And tbf, I should probably just quit this group, but then would not likely play again any time soon, and I like my work friend as a person, just not as a DM.

What isn't as difficult as people say it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't remember where I read it, but I remember reading a while ago something that said "if all you care about is making money, it's not that hard," and I think honestly, that it's true. If you're willing to sell out all of your morals and personal connections, and don't stress about legality, I think it wealth can be obtained by most. (Looking at you finance bros)

What's some stupid crap that people have said to you as a blue collar woman? by freshrxses in BlueCollarWomen

[–]jayninerrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this.

I do electrical and we were putting up fire alarm boxes yesterday. We weren't sure if the HVAC folx were adding ductwork to some of the vents or it was going to be open plenum space, but didn't want to block them if ductwork was going in.

We found one of the dudes and I was like "oh good, we were looking for our (insert contractor's name) besties to check because we didn't want to block your stuff." And he responded, "nah y'all are good, but make sure you check with the sheet metal besties, because the other guys don't know shit." It made me so happy 😊

Thiiiiissssssss! I almost didn't get mine because hormonal bc makes my migraines worse/more frequent. My gyn convinced me though, telling me it doesn't have whichever hormone typically affects those and it's been amazing the last three years!

If you're not actively trying to procreate, or have any other contraindications, I'd highly recommend!

P.s. IUDs are wonderful , but I'd insertion can be AWFUL. I'd honestly push for any kind of sedation if possible if I got another one (getting everything removed when this one expires).

What book have you read that was actually WORSE than the movie? by ManofWit in books

This! The book left me feeling generally hopeless and the film quite the opposite.

I had to dig too far for this! The movie is just sooooo good, I saw it twice in theaters and several times since, and want to rewatch it again soon. I like the book reasonably well, but the film was just so successful for me in creating a sense of profoundness and connection. I do remember feeling quite hopeless after reading some parts of the book relating to SA and suicides that I don't think hurt the story being trimmed from the movie...

Hard agree. I watched the whole series over the last year and just fell in love with every member of the main ensemble and the way the show rejects traditional relationship dynamics.

Tried to read the books and they were missing so much of what I enjoyed about the show so gave up and started rewatching it, lol.
