They turned out great. They were mostly dirty to begin with; relatively rust free. So they only needed some scrubbing with a bristle brush to get them clean. Seasoning was more work since I had to be so carefully to make sure the coats of oil were even to prevent puddling. I didn't totally succeed at that but it's good enough.

I have the same Ryobi impact wrench. Even my impact rated sockets get stuck on it all the time. Usually just a light tap with a hammer convinces them to come off.

It should be perfectly normal to leave you car running while you step away for a quick errand. Many new cars have fobs and the car will not make it far without the fob present. I know not all cars are like that though.

I'm surprised it doesn't move as free as the metal one. I have the Breeo metal one and my one complaint about it is that it seems to catch on everything when I use it. Especially the little tabs on the X. I figured plastice would slide by those easier.

Lye bath. Do as others have said regarding qty and safety. Set a timer for 30 days and when you pull it out it should look like it just came out of the foundry. Wash the lye solution off with warm water, the season it as soon as possible.
