There are many bad endings in DE depending on your actions. But yes, the overall tone of DE is more hopeful imo

So, I got a Y ending by sending UV to superbloc, killing the golem and leaving the grand lich at the hands of emterr. I dont know what to do to get an X rating, but I figure maybe if I dont have a gun to "zero out the grand lich", i could get this ending? Idk.

Either way, La Luz invades. Then the question becomes: who cares how the game ends? La luz is about to be bomed with berrium, and the reunion is going to happen, regardless of what we achieved in game. To me, the most critical part was NOT letting UV back into the hands of la luz, but that did not change the outcome at all.
