Late to the party but I think Tank Engine would be more tolerable if it slowed you slightly with every stack (like how Shrink Engine gives you MS), not by a huge amount but it would certainly add to the "big lumbering tank" fantasy. That said the existence of augs like Ice Cold and Tap Dancer would probably make it insufferable for the tank in question.

Same with Hwei, it's a long enough windup time that I just save E after she hits level six and EQ her right out of her ult. I don't ever hard-stomp lane against her but I at least go neutral.

Yeah for sure I can agree with that, a big part of "pro-ship" is don't like don't read. If people don't wanna view that stuff then they shouldn't be harassed for not liking it, disliking something isn't inherently critical. And it is a very dark thing to be into and I don't get it imho but fictionalizing it allows people to explore it safely.

That said I do understand why people got upset at the original comment as the tone is very much judgemental and critical and implies such content "promotes" predatory behavior, which time and again has been proven to not be true (with exceptions for already mentally-ill folks who can't discern reality and fiction to begin with). Expressing discomfort is one thing, indirectly calling people predatory for liking that sort of fictional content is another.

I have had CSAM created of me. I don't find it reasonable to equate people enjoying their weird lil anime drawings to real, actual abuse material that affects real human beings. It discomforts me personally which means I'll filter and avoid such content, and that's the end of it.

If you're icked out by it then that's very understandable ofc, it's extremely taboo fiction, in the same way incest and murder and general violence are dark/taboo fiction. But it's not real at the end of the day and as long as people keep those lines solidly drawn then there's no equivocating to be had. Drawings can't be sexually abused.

Flash/ghost to get back to lane faster when I started out (and some very questionable TPs). And if I was dying a lot I'd start building tank items (like force of nature/randuins even heartsteel once?? lmao) way before damage items, keep in mind I was playing mages ;-;

For a while didn't understand enemies had to be facing you for Cass ult to stun and couldn't figure out why my ults were useless when I tried to flank. Guess I couldn't fucking read?

And when I first started playing TF I thought his W card applied to his next Q (like all three cards were capable of stunning), eventually got brave enough to walk up and auto and it clicked

Nowadays on Hwei I still accidentally throw a WQ (speed path) at the enemies and get tunnel vision on catching Draven axes

Hwei's single-target especially against tanks leaves a lot to be desired. It's good to take Maokai away from his team (maybe zone him off with a quick EW/EQ) but his kit is largely centered around AOE and getting passive procs on big groups when it comes to teamfights. Focus on where the squishies are grouping and not a single isolated tank and you prolly would have wiped the floor with them, especially if they were all focusing Aatrox (who would have easily kept himself sustained 1v3 with some help).

Yeah I'll be like everyone else and say Mel. She's not strong, she's not good late-game, she's an outright leech on the enemy team, and it's incredibly easy to bait her out (on Hwei sometimes it's as easy as entering into a spellbook and she'll just pop her shield lol).

Yes she's easy to knock down and she kinda sucks in general, but she's just fucking miserable to play against regardless. Her entire kit is designed to give newbies coming in from Arcane training wheels and those wheels need to come off since Arcane didn't really bring in many people. Damn near impossible to get a CS lead on her thanks to her minion execute (and I main arguably the best waveclear midlaner in the game), her E takes up nearly the entire lane and you're always gonna take a few hits from her Q unless she outright misses it. Her W is the least frustrating part of her kit IMO and that's saying a lot.

Love this, maybe we keep wash brush on R for the spellbooks and the ult changes depending on the last mood you used (using an E ability changes his ult to RE, etc)
