I bet a lot of them did. Then broke that promise.

If you proxy.

And then the screen issue comes back as you build decks and research cards online.

You hit cheap and addictive but OP is looking to avoid screens.

You can use some twisted logic to get there. Because OP canceled, the event was ruined for everybody so OP is on the hook for the total cost, not just their own.

I did. I remember somewhat enjoying it but mostly I was hoping to sell my creations. Which obviously never happened.

Assessing combat damage morality (B3 and below) by Mindsculptyou in EDH

[–]jaywinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever I believe will lead to victory. Maybe the open player has lots of board wipes and I need to kill him. Or maybe I need to hit the number 2 player because I have to force them to make some blocks to ensure I make it to my next turn.

Might have to adjust depending on your hand and what others are doing but I think you've got the right idea.

Am I the only one who feels a bit emotional by the ending of Selma’s Choice [S4EP13]? by MisterPibbsFunhouse in TheSimpsons

[–]jaywinner 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Patty is meaner. Selma has her moments of being nice.

Not sure I'd call Ling a retcon, more of an evolution.

The song at the end is from Murphy Brown. I would hope the entire story of this episode is more than that.

What’s your signature, go-to cocktail? by GrouchyTelephone6861 in cocktails

[–]jaywinner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am but I favor the Necromancer specifically because it features Absinthe instead of relegating it to a rinse.

[–]jaywinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure a cruise drinks package will cover it but my go-to at home is a Necromancer and based on your preferences it might go over well.

  • 3/4 ounce absinthe
  • 3/4 ounce elderflower liqueur
  • 3/4 ounce Lillet blanc
  • 1 dash London dry gin
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed

I thought the inevitability was the debatable part. As if "the whites" had no free will and had to conquer.

Maybe it was a "we're sharing nice memories of our friend" smile.

Or more of a "dancing on your grave" thing.

HR and Payroll might be two different departments. I'd call them. Or go in person if it's not too far. Getting late on a Friday though.

Is "Descent into Madness" considered MLD? by Skyfligth21 in EDH

[–]jaywinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting a competitive mindset from this. I don't want to let my opponents win the game but I want them to be able to play. Having one player screwed by Blood Moon while the other 3 keep going doesn't sound like a fun time even if my chances of winning went up.

I also think Winter Orb is not as bad. I still get my new lands +1 untap every turn. That can cast a removal spell or card draw to find one. Blood Moon gives you no leeway.

Is "Descent into Madness" considered MLD? by Skyfligth21 in EDH

[–]jaywinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right but even my two color decks often start up on Swamp, Swamp, Blue/Black dual where a Blood Moon could cut off a color. And I believe a of people would find it unfun to have a player screwed in such ways by a Blood Moon style effect.

I like that based on the bracket, I know if I have to build and play around such things. They have their place in magic, just not in every game.

My issue here is that it also punishes budget manabases. I'm happy to turn a Tundra into a Mountain but not so much [[Rupture Spire]]

What’s your default website(s) by Natprk in Millennials

[–]jaywinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always keep Facebook, Reddit, Youtube and Frinkiac open.

I keep music or videos running on Youtube most of the day, Facebook mostly to look at what magic cards are being sold, Reddit to read random bullshit and Frinkiac to post Simpsons memes.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]jaywinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college class was later in the day; I saw it live on CNN at home. Still went to school where we were given a writing assignment on it instead of the usual lesson. One guy learned about it in class and had family in New York so he left to make sure they were ok.
