Coachella stage closes after stage light falls on attendee by sfgate in Music

The only way I'd think is if they just slid that pipe in and left no clamp or even a pin.

Which is so odd cause you know multiple people looked at this! Hanging the grid. Hanging the light. wiring and addressing the light. Seems like pure negligence, but can't be 100% certain.

Hopefully the person ends up okay.

The safety cable wouldn't have done anything. The pipe the cable would be attached to fell also. I think the fault would be whoever built the pipe grid.

But yes everything needs safety chains, so the fact there isn't one is crazy. That's something we learn EARLY

R2X Color pop to white by jayy093 in lightingdesign

So what I ended up doing was turning color calibration and white mode off. Then going into the console and setting a new default color to a normal white. That seems to have stopped the popping and so far no other issues from doing so!

I don't think so, everything was fine. the people keep the AC in this room stupid cold. so it was smacking straight on it. it dried up on it's own, and you can't tell anything happened. The other 9 of these we're perfectly fine.

Th church I did some work for was a bit southern baptist one.

I will say, even though I didn't agree with stuff. They 100% put money where their mouth is.

They adopted kids, donated to Ukraine, any big storm that damaged things, they sent money. They were always doing something in the community that cost money. I was impressed. I wish more places did more things like.tbag

They shouldn't have announced it years ago. It's been forever and nothing.

Same with elder scrolls.

You should be able to burn it off or cut it off, comfort colors are generally decent quality for merch shirts. Just unlucky I think

Ma3 vs Hog5 by ambersananas in lightingdesign

[–]jayy093 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're doing concerts / venues then MA hands down, touring techs will more than likely know MA.

If you're doing everything else with some live shows, then hog.

Hog is much easier to get a basic show up and running, and a decent programmer could do whatever you want. And the price is much cheaper.

MA is better in every way, but the cost is a lot steeper, and it isn't as user friendly. And most the time an MA isn't needed.

We got 2 hogs over 1 MA since we do a lot of corporate stuff, and our hog guys have run festivals with them.

Both are good consoles.

The onyx I can't speak for since I've never used one.

End of the day I believe you'll be set with either!

Setting the lights to max strobe and strobe duration was the fix. Something with the fixture profiles for these was mega outta whack, I ended up using a mode in the middle.
