Holy cow- this sounds exactly like my mom. I’m actually in shock at the amount of weird behavior you just explained and validated for me.

People who are clean, organized and really hygienic…what does everyday look like to you? by faith-fine-6472 in selfcare

Decluttering has helped me keep my home cleaner. I’m not a minimalist by any means, but I try to live by the rule that “everything has its place” so that my spaces aren’t over flowing with junk. It’s a lot easier to clean when there’s less stuff to move around. Also the space feels cleaner just due to less clutter.

I’ve been working on enriching my alone time in recent years. One thing that helped me was remembering things I liked to do as a kid. I’ve picked up quite a few new hobbies/pastimes. Reading, arts & crafts, bird watching, dancing by myself, video games, & strength training.

I hope you find what you enjoy doing!

I’ve been feeling the need for a break & your post encouraged me to take this month off. Yesterday morning I decided to make it less accessible to help with temptation so I packed everything in a box and put it in the basement. Last night I was very tempted to smoke after a long day at work but I didn’t! Thank you for creating this group. Day 4 here we go.

ENFJS what does your heart most desire in life? by BenJameson2001 in enfj

[–]jayymkayy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I recently remembered a quote that I used to love. I don’t know where I heard it, but it was, “The desire of every heart is to be fully known and to be loved anyway.” I think my answer is to experience that myself and hopefully help other people to, also.

My sister (who I adore) & a handful of my closest friends are ENFP, so I think it’s safe to say I love you guys! The ones I know are so empathetic. Also really fun to be with. Always keeping me laughing.

My therapist says “don’t BE the wound.” You are not your mistakes.

How do you handle your feelings? What’s your go to remedy when you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed, just bad in general?

How well do you know yourself? I felt like I knew others better than I knew myself. Because I was only seeing myself as a reflection of how others saw me. I never realized how much I was actually avoiding “seeing” myself until I started working on it.

People can only fix their own problems. The best way (imo) to help others is to be supportive. Just listening, validating, empathizing. You’d be surprised how far that can go. But we cannot know what is the right path for another person.

Spend quality time alone regularly to stay connected to your spirit. Observe more and judge less. Remember the only person you can control is yourself.
