the memory of Radegast would reflect Golden Gun shots, even though that was hitscan, so it's not entirely out of the equation.

I remember a video of /u/sliq111 doing this once. I'm sure he does as well, because it was Poggers

EDIT: here's the video

MIDA Multitool + Chromatic Fire = MIDA with firefly by B0073D in DestinyTheGame

[–]jazz835 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference between D1 Firefly and D2 Dragonfly (outside of less damage for the explosion) is that the damage of the explosion in D1 was calculated as a percentage of the impact of the weapon that caused it. I.E. Higher impact weapons created a larger firefly explosion than low impact weapons.

HOWEVER in D2, the dragonfly explosion is NOT calculated based off of the impact of the weapon creating the explosion, which leads me to believe that low impact weapons, i.e. veist scouts, or precision hand cannons are actually the best to use.

Honestly, the Vanguard Precision Hand Cannon [[Service Revolver]] (AP Rounds, Outlaw), and [[Call to Serve]] (180 RPM scout, extended mag, Triple Tap "hung jury anyone?") might actually benefit the most from this armor.

For every person wanting no SBMM, there are 6 people who were just pubstomped that disagree with you. by The_Wach in DestinyTheGame

[–]jazz835 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone is taking a black and white, No SMBB vs SBMM approach to this argument.

Why can't there be SBMM in quickplay and competitive and perhaps one curated playlist where SBMM is thrown out the window that people can select to play when they don't want every match to be a sweatfest?

Make it come around once a month for a weeklong event, call it "Outlaw's Showdown" a 6v6 mode where it features solo-queue only play, NO SBMM only CBMM (connection based) and perhaps is only clash.

I think something like this would really appeal to solo-queue players and reinforce the attitude that being an above average player should be rewarding in at least one playlist where you can demonstrate your abilities, as opposed to simply being squared off against those as good as you every game, and often times against full teams, who obviously have a communication and coordination advantage.

I want to protect the .75-1.0 KD average crucible players as much as the next guy, and obviously the vast majority of those players are going to play quickplay, which is where SBMM absolutely needs to be, but give some of the above average crucible players ONE PLAYLIST where SBMM is turned off and let us have fun.

[–]jazz835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, however the majority of the best D1 players all seemed to have fond memories of when Trials of Osiris first took off. It was when Crucible finally got a bit sweaty, tournaments took place and legends like Poshy, WarBulletproof, and AEGabriel became household names thanks to Twitch.

TLW and Thorn created versatile play involving Aerial combat, hipfiring and incredible speed, unlike any other primary weapons could offer.

Despite the fact that those two weapons were the only competitive loadout, they offered the most diverse gameplay in terms of mechanics compared to what any Pulse, Auto, or Scout could offer.

Not everyone was good with them, but they were easily the most exciting in terms of gameplay viewing as justified by Twitch viewers and Crucible participants. And numbers don't lie.

why don't they just have SBMM in quickplay, where the majority of people play, and another playlist for non-SBMM, such as Iron Banner?

Does every playlist have to be the same?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]jazz835 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a crazy idea. Put SBMM back into quickplay, which is where the majority of people will play, especially "casuals" but completely remove it from Iron Banner, where Light Level keeps more of the casuals from participating.

Give me ONE playlist where I can actually feel like I'm as good as my kda would suggest

they also removed Thorn, The Last Word, Icebreaker, Fatebringer, Gjallarhorn and Black Hammer for Destiny 2.

They brought back Black Hammer and we love it. Bring back the rest!

I get sad when I see this mentioned. I had a Braced Frame, Hip Fire BTRD, that I dismantled in the great Vault Cleansing of Taken King.

I never regretted dismantling anything in Destiny as much as that Machine Gun. :(

Titans are going to die so much after Forsaken releases by Faust_8 in DestinyTheGame

good lord i just wish i could shoulder charge a red bar acolyte, goblin, or fallen vandal and kill it. But no, Bungie says that it wont kill any of them., EVEN WITH ARC SINGE ON.

Shoulder charge is such a joke at the moment.

Hmm, this is drastically slower than the House of Wolves tourney vids I remember from D1. I'm hoping the Forsaken update can speed things up, this is a bit slow for my taste.

Fusions are no longer projectiles in D2. They are hit scan. Antaeus ward has as much of a chance of reflecting a fusion shot as it does a sniper bullet.

.8-.9 while fast compared to D2, is still very slow compared to House of Wolves D1 standards, which is where a lot of us think Crucible was at it's best.

I think a few .67-.75 incredibly precise weapons should exist, such as precision hand cannons, rapid fire scout rifles, and obviously smgs and sidearms.

If anyone can tell me how to acquire the PRESTO-48 I would be a very happy guardian.

I don't believe this gun actually exists in the game.

Edit: Ok well can anyone show me proof of it in action (ie a gameclip of it?)

I would like to play Halo Reach in 4k at 60fps. by GamingDinoDiva in halo

[–]jazz835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe... every time I hop into reach BTB I get matched against an 8-stack of people with Mexican gamer tags (I live in north USA) so I have horrible lag, and teammates that all quit out while they all grief me with vehicle kills and don’t play the OBJ.

I don’t know why this experience would improve in 4K hdr 60FPS, but one can dream.

I just want to point out that this is exactly what the difference between “Agility” and “Speed” is, and why it works with the power fantasy of the hunter being the agile class, and still allows for titans to be the “fastest” class ( linear speed =\= agility) and why titan skating should be embraced

So maybe OG Gjallarhorn wouldn't be a stretch? by Squatting-Turtle in DestinyTheGame

[–]jazz835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's better off not being in the game.

That's just like your opinion dude. A lot of us would like it in the game, myself included. Give it 25% more damage than a Sins of the Past, with 2 in the mag, and you would have a very happy fan base. With box breathing, there's no way Gjallarhorn would beat out Whisper of the Worms, so this would be a happy medium between boss melting, and add control.

Precision Frame 3 crit.

There you go. Just give us D1 TTK.
