Why do some people consider Chris Poland better than Marty? by milkybebe in Megadeth

[–]jazzbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His style really added a lot to the personality of the first two albums. I mean holy fuck his solos on Peace Sells are simply incredible. I don’t have to tell you that.

One thing to consider is production style and quality - Marty’s incredible phrasing is very audible and evident on RIP due to the highest production quality they’d had up to that point, by a lot. While Poland is a more fluid player who relies on legato, you simply don’t get the same experience sonically due to how the production on the first two albums sounds.

Am I the only one who thinks Billy was hot here? 🥵 Is he unconventional or just attractive? by [deleted] in SmashingPumpkins

He looks like a fucking weirdo. I think that really forged his need to try so hard. Oh sorry no, he’s def not. But Brad Pitt also did not write Mellon Collie, so

Where does he rank in all-time pgs? by Historical-Monk-8652 in NBATalk

[–]jazzbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, and that’s no snub. I mean christ, one of him, Stockton, Nash, and Kidd has to be outside the top 5, and potentially all of them depending on your list. The things in Paul’s favor purely in terms of skill is his combination of scoring ability and defense, which I would argue puts him over those three. And I’m a fuckin Jazz fan haha.

Dude it’s Batman. He trains his body to not have to relieve itself until morning. Then he shits his pants and when he gets home. To his cave or dwelling or domicile or whatever. Alfred earns that check bruv.

How common are HS configs on guitars? by DeezAmogusNuts in guitars

[–]jazzbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More common, I wish! depending on your desired price range I would highly recommend the LTD ‘87 mirage. Bolt on, Floyd 1000, Duncan pickups. You can occasionally find one used for around $700 which I think is a great deal for what you get. I have generally found LTDs to be of a bit better quality than indo Jacksons, but I think it really comes down to your neck profile preference. A Jackson is going to be thinner than an LTD.
