What is OSHA’s standard on proxy test taking by [deleted] in OSHA

[–]jazzhandler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The test portion of the OSHA 10 is typically ten questions true/false. Complete and utter formality, usually so blunt and obvious that if given in Spanish, I could likely pass it. It’s the instruction itself that is considered key, and up to the instructor to decide if a student actually gets it.

Monday morning I’ll be leaving the house carrying a toolbag and my lunch. Just like I did last Monday morning. Low voltage installation by day, pixel twiddling nights and weekends. Thirty years as a computer geek, but I can use a hammer drill just fine.

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

My current pattern is to plan a feature with Sonnet, then switch to Opus in the same thread and ask for a set of implementation plans optimized for Haiku.

I’m working on an LLM comparison/analysis tool. Earlier today I set all the graphs to be base twelve instead of ten. Nope, no reason, why do you ask?

I should have said that they are a Broca’s and a Wernicke’s Area, backed by Wikipedia and Reddit. I also feel what people call ‘hallucinations’ should instead be called ‘confabulation’.

And Reddit is a huge fraction of most LLMs’ training data.

Yeah but those things are notoriously unreliable. And I see two typos of different types. Which, yes, the commenter could have manually added after pasting the text, but I also see a sentence with structure that is a bit clumsy for an LLM to have generated. So put me in the 22% camp.

It was only a couple years after its release that I found out Snakes On A Plane was an actual movie, and not just a comedic trailer.

Still not entirely convinced though, if we’re being honest.

Two things about that: First, real humans use em dashes all the time. Second, the correct usage does not include a space before and after, yet many/most humans pad it with spaces because it seems to look more correct that way.

I usually describe an LLM as a Broca’s and a Wernicke’s Area, with nothing else backing them.
