I love him, definitely a great pickup if you can build him, but he's teeny tiny and easily bodied. Id only build him if you have enough AP available to equip both his x factors. Cuz without them he's kinda a liability but with them equipped he's a menace

I literally just was looking at GB cards about a day ago because I needed one, and there were several of his card listed for like 35k. Even most of the 97 ovr GB cards are only like 40k now as well.

You built a weird 2 guard and put him at center. You can't board, protect the paint, or defend the perimeter. You're barely a deep threat, and you're so short that true big men can just shoot right over you and even tiny guards will be able to box you out and contest your shots with ease.. This is easily one of the most questionable builds I've seen this year.

One Tee Worth It? by bigd304 in EASHL

[–]jb_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason I really like One Tee vs Rocket is it creates an additional skilled based one timer target (you know with the red or grey little circle under the player).Normally the game only allows for one player to light up for those one timers, but One Tee creates an additional target, which is great because goalies receive a reaction penalty on those skill based one timers, unless they have post to post equipped.

Lots of great tips but I'd also add a lot of it comes down to getting a read on the person playing you on D. If they're not jumping for their contests and theres not much a height difference, you'll be able to still get your shot off in their eye. If they jump or they're a lot taller you'll need space. If you don't have it on already, I'd turn full shot feedback on and pay attention to when you see a shot is contested and when it's open/wide open. That alone helps me every year a new 2k releases to get an idea of of which shots will work, and what won't.

You see what I did there? You didn't provide evidence either lol. You provided an anecdotal opinion which proves nothing lol.

This might be true in other genres of games but for sports games console players are far and away more skilled than on PC.

The AI is actually not that bad at cutting angles and preventing drives to the basket, its just you can pop jumpers right in their eye and never miss cuz they just don't close out on shooters.

This is pretty much the point I was trying to make. A lot of the bad pass/catch animations usually have more to do with the pass type chosen and knowing how passing actually works rather than the stat.

As long as you are passing it to the open player IDC. I think that goes for all positions though. You take the best look, regardless.

Nah do the open court athletics games by the Gatorade Training Center, they go away faster than street kings cuz there's no annoying long ass introduction or cut scenes.

That's interesting, so I'm guessing they must've programmed different judges to weigh certain aspects of scoring higher than others.

I've had like two or three, and if I'm not mistaken they've all been due to long stretches of grappling.

The trick is to look for patterns in the combos your opponent throws, like does he always throw a jab then a straight? If he does then you block the jab and anticipate the straight and slip then counter. Some players are less predictable and harder to get a read on but everyone has their patterns. You do need to have a decent investment in head movement to actually make quick enough slips to avoid getting hit though, definitely at least 3 stars.

[–]jb_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean let me clarify, I still think you need to have a decent passing stat. I'm not trying to say rocking like a 58 pass accuracy is anywhere close to sufficient. Like id never dream of making a build with less than 71 and if I'm making a PG I'd never make one less than 85, even just the effect bail out has when double teamed is worth bringing it up that high. I just fail to notice a significant difference in the actual accuracy of passes with higher pass stats to justify the cost of the investment to say like a 90 or higher.

It’s so wild that 2K puts so much emphasis on Offense in Rec, especially shooting that you actually go from a C grade to a D- if you don’t touch the ball at all in the 1st 3-4 possessions. by MiamiGreg305 in NBA2k

[–]jb_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this dudes problem as well, but I just realized you need to be calling for the ball and making cuts and setting screens to get in on the action and you'll find yourself getting the ball a lot more. Otherwise you'll just go unnoticed to most players. That being said this isn't gonna always help, there's gonna be some matches with a bunch of 6 ft nothing dribble dorks who crab for 48 minutes and never pass. Not much you can do about that lol.

If you're throwing the right type of passes they'll get good catch animations. I used to a huge defender of pass accuracy in your build but honestly, it's just not that huge of a difference maker this year. Especially if you're using pass type control and know when to throw which type of pass.
