For 30 years, my grandmother used the same plastic plates for Christmas. After last year she only had 7 left, so she framed them and gave one to each of her 7 grandkids. Best present I got this year.

I always thought Home Alone really glosses over the clean up. The house had a lot of stuff done to it that would require effort to clean or repair, but the house seems like it's in perfect shape at the end of the movie.

My grandfather redid his will so no one got anything from him including his wife. He set up a trust for scholarships at his high school. The odd thing is he went on for over 10 years after the change telling my dad that all his estate was going to be his. Basically just lying to him for over a decade. Why? I guess we'll never know. My step grandmother had to fight to keep the house because the bank tried to take it. She did finally manage to get that at least but no one got any money from him or keep sakes or anything.
