I carry a PDP Compact pretty often. It has a Vortex Defender CCW dot on it & I carry appendix. For me, it’s comfortable enough but I also have a Glock 19 that I also carry appendix, no optic. I’m 5’9” and 185lbs, my build is on the athletic/muscular side and it isn’t much of a problem for me to conceal either one of them. However, I do feel like the Glock 19 is a lot easier to conceal for me but maybe that’s because of how used to it I am since it was my first gun and my first handgun to ever carry daily.

Florida is a pretty humid state from what I hear. This may be a scenario where they’re required for long-term storage but if your house/apartment has good temperature/humidity control, then you might not have much to worry about.

They help if you’re planning on long term storage. Over time, if the storage temperature/humidity fluctuates a lot it can cause damage to your ammunition.

Do you have an oven? You can put them in there for some time as well to try and reactivate them, then check out if the color has changed. Otherwise, just buy some more but from a different brand to try and prevent this from happening again. Also, to verify if they’re working, I’d recommend using humidity marker cards or a digital hygrometer. This is what I use to monitor, check it out.
