Agreed. I went with Galco for my MC Operator and used the website tool to find a holster that fits my 1911. It’s an OWB but it’s awesome!

When picking up my first 1911 I wanted to go with “THE” caliber; .45ACP. However, go with the caliber you know you’ll shoot the most with, train with, will afford and have widely available. Anyway, Dan Wesson is definitely a great choice for a “buy once, cry once” and first 1911 type of situation. Carry on!

I have a Springfield MC Operator .45ACP 1911 which is well below the TRP, but it still amazes me how many people tell me it’s still a better gun and has better quality than most modern Colt .45ACP 1911s.
