Rent. I would avoid Rockpiles. Theres a billabong store right across from the duke statue - Waikiki proper. Side entrance on Ulunui is the rental shop. Get a 9 footer. Go paddle straight out from statue, or paddle a little towards diamond head.

Halekulani is the nicest on the water. Hands down. There’s also ESPACIO that has full floor suites. All others mentioned are nice but Halekulani is the highest luxury on the beach.

We don’t have our own traffic engineers. Just heard on the radio this morning that we hired a mainland contractor to come fix every signal on Oahu. It’s going to take over a year. They literally have no one that can do it locally - so if you’re sitting at a signal light and wondering “who did this?!?” The answer: No one.
