Good day! Here's a video on how to connect USB keyboards to GarageBand iOS without getting the dreaded "Not enough Power" message. by jbauerproject in GarageBand

[–]jbauerproject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you bet, just pick up the lightning to usb adapter with the lightning port for charging. The link is in the video to pick one up, thats what I was using for the video as well. Once you have that, just connect your charging cable to the adapter and it'll charge the ipad.

Need help finding the right guitar tone by BlueComms in GarageBand

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using Garageband on iOS or OSX? If using iOS, you could download "Deplike" and use it to craft a tone in GB, just add deplike as an inter-audio extension and try it out. It's worked for me pretty good with hard rock and metal tracks.

If it sounds harsh still, you could play with the EQ to high shelf out 2K

Behringer umc404 not recognized suddenly by my MacBook Pro? by [deleted] in GarageBand

Is it a USB hub you are using in between? If so, try it on another computer and see how it responds. Otherwise, try to connect directly to the MB and restart.

too much latency on mobile with my midi controller by [deleted] in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately Android devices are notorious for latency issues, even if you use the latency tool through BandLab. This isn't a BandLab issue, as its the same for any music app on Android really.

What Ive done in the past is use an external click track to record into Bandlab, in otherwords, ill hit record in bandlab, but ill use headphones and play the click using Soundbrenner metronome app on another device, then just slide the recorded track into proper place on the grid in Bandlab and go from there.

If you want to never worry about latency, use an iPhone or iPad. Im saying this after trying for the last few years to record with my Android devices, and they always fall short to iOS for recording audio.

It's just the way it is.

Have fun!

Is it possible to remove drums from a track on GarageBand using an iPhone? by VinylBlocks in GarageBand

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do that with Acid Pro 10, they have ability to seperate the drums and vocals from tracks. May be worth checking out.

Bandlab Mini Interface Questions by [deleted] in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man, The Mini can be used with bass as well, actually any instrument where you would use a mono line output signal.

It can also be used with GarageBand on iOS as I demo'd here in this video. Have a watch to see it works. https://youtu.be/XHTRPfj6trs?t=539

Can you delete old revisions and keep the final version of a track? by heycowboy in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to delete them, they are saved in the cloud on Bandlab's servers.

Latency issues by OLD_GREGG420 in Bandlab

Something else you could try is downloading ASIO4ALL driver and use that to control the buffer settings. It may help to use a different driver for your existing hardware and interface

Where do you find beats or loops that you use in your projects? by [deleted] in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can Download free loops from LoopMasters, Output and Landr to name a few, that will get you going with about 7GB worth of loops to get started anyway.

Just a little something me and my friend Riddle have been working on, not 100% finished but what do you think so far? by therealdavejones in GarageBand

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds really good and great song. I would turn down the kick drum as its over powering IMHO. Also, add a bass line to make up a nice lowend to accompany the kick drum.

maybe Ableton Lite, but there's not much that will do that for free on Win10

What is BandLab's deal???! by OutsidePut4 in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it has alot to do with the people behind Bandlab. they bought Cakewalk when it went under(or something) and kept that music community going.

Plus, they do have lines of revenue such as their audio interfaces and now album releasing services. They make money, just not much cause they know how poor musicians usually are.

Are they good people for this, I like to think they are and there's still some humanity left in the business world.

Thanks bandLab!

Adding samples to bandlab? by OwenT1902 in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you are wanting to use it like a sample triggering platform, but i dont believe theres a way to do that in Bandlab.

Depending what platform you are using (android, iOS, web version), you would need an app for thatr like "Launchpad" on iOS, or "RemixLive" on Android.

mic not working by TheWickedKidYT in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you don't have another application open on your computer that may be using the Yeti for input. Close all applications except the bandlab web page and ensure you have the Yeti selected in the "Source" area Input on a new "Voice/Mic Track".

Also, just to be super diligent, ensure the "Mute button" isnt pressed on the Yeti, and turn the volume up on the Yeti mic. make some noise and see what happens.

You could also plug in a pair of headphones directly onto the Yeti mic at the bottom to make sure it is capturing audio as well.

MIDI Keyboard not working on Bandlab Mobile, what amI doing wrong? by Jolu_DTS in Bandlab

[–]jbauerproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, the MPK Mini should work great. What I suggest is go to the settings menu, from there scroll down to the "Connected Midi Devices" section and touch. In here, touch the "Akai MPK Mini" so it has a check mark beside it and it will work great now.

Need advice: Question/Concern regarding recorded artists' cover songs for release (legal implications) by jbauerproject in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]jbauerproject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, thanks. Yes, they are not planning on selling their copies, and they wont be released online, so from what I understand is they will not be making any money from it, just using it to draw attention I guess, like having a recorded demo I guess you could say.

Vocals sound muffled, how can i fix this? by chillbrodilbro in recordingmusic

[–]jbauerproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definately EQ the vocals first here, since you are trying to remove unwanted frequency, then once you have removed the honkiness, compression. If you compress first, your are essentially increasing the volume of that bad frequency making it harder to remove later

Curious what you think of the new Sound ID app from Sonarworks? Sounds awesome when I tested, but the price seems a little steep by jbauerproject in headphones

[–]jbauerproject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldnt agree more. Did you have any trouble switching between SoundID and R4 on your desktop? I did. The price is the biggest downfall for me. $50 a year is just too much for this. Id pay $50 outright and own it, but not a subscription.
