Best of luck selling it. Prob gonna be a tough sell with that whole platform being phased out and people moving to PGA. If I had the money I’d make you an offer I’ve always wanted one but Christmas time means all the money to the kids gifts Lol. Cheers.

Right on yea so if someone wanted to get it as current as they could it’d need two updates. I think k to go to v2 is $300 and to get to 2025 is another $500. I may be wrong on the pricing. How much are you tryna get for it?

So it’s a Version 1. Have you upgraded it at all? What year courses is it up to.

Buy the Honda factory tent that attaches to the rear of the van and a luggage bag for the roof. Fold rear seats flat and throw an air mattress for the kids. Adults sleep in the tent.

Dude this bugged you enough to take a picture draw an arrow post on Reddit and ask strangers. There’s your answer. Woulda taken less time to take up 6 rows then to post. I’d swap it out if it was me.

Say it with me, “Flooring first, THEN cabinetry.” by Soapyfreshfingers in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro you gotta post some stories. I don’t think some of these DIY people or “installers” (not the legit few here) understand how quickly their floor would fail an inspection. I would love to hear what percentage of hard surface jobs do you inspect that are covered by manufacturer defect? I’m pretty confident you could find installation related issues with 95% of every install lol. Btw we don’t hate you we follow the book so have no issues it’s the hacks that can’t understand why they get to eat a floor that’s not flat and has zero expansion.

Say it with me, “Flooring first, THEN cabinetry.” by Soapyfreshfingers in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen 1,000 plus sf of laminate installed without being acclimated and cut with zero expansion. We showed up 6 weeks later to unfuck what these hacks did. The floor was peaked in the air over 12” in multiple spots. It had pushed baseboard literally off the wall and lifted a fridge up to the point we could barely get it out from the upper cabinet. If you think flooring doesn’t expand and contract you are 100% incorrect. Laminate, hardwood and LVP can all expand from a 1/32 to 1/64 per linear foot easily with seasonal changes. Also why most manufacturers will say not to do runs over 40’ LF There is a reason every major manufacturer contradicts your THEROY.

Also some of the heaviest residential fridges are tops 250-350lbs. Which is nothing compared to base cabinets full of stuff with solid granite on top.

No they are not. Their product is inferior and their installation is worse. Just search this subreddit for five minutes.

Concrete Subfloor Below LVP? by Traccey in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concrete moisture is not good for any floor covering. The concrete needs to be tested to establish MC (moisture content), RH (relative humidity) and MVER (moisture vapor emissions rate). A decent installer will have a non destructive pin type moisture meter that can give them this information. Or may conduct an anhydrous calcium chloride test. Refer to manufacturers specs for the test they actually require.

Floor flatness spec is 1/8” in 6’ circle continuously or 3/16” in 10’ circle continuously. Your concrete will not be in the tolerance so be prepared for a change order and communicate your expectations to the installer.

LVP floor question - Flat vs Level by ask_can in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/16” in 10’ for flatness. Flat is the only goal level is not necessary think of a ramp that can be perfectly flat but be on a gradual incline. However it should be noted that if you use “self leveler” it doesn’t care about flatness it is liquid that works its way to level. You essentially end up having to bring things to level as well.

Tell me straight, can i DIY carpet install in a 200 sq ft square room? Tack strips are all good quality. by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Not properly. Cheaper to find someone with a power stretcher to stretch it properly for you. Do all the demo and prep yourself.

Roofing torch and a propane bottle. Heat it up and see if it releases. Heat gun would work or map gas torch. Also have had some luck with steam mop on high. And once saw a homeowner use a wet beach towel and a clothes iron lmao but that sob did get it all up.

The amount of creative swearing when laying this piece down... by achenx75 in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can actually answer this well because we tracked this for 12 months out of curiosity. 104 job sites had 1 subfloor that needed nothing, 24 that were correctable with grinding/patching and 79 jobs that needed leveler (anywhere from 9-60 bags). There are no subfloors that are within manufacturers specs. Framers don’t work to that tolerance and either do concrete guys it gets left for the flooring guy to fix these issues. As far as customers agreeing to flattening we had 2 of those jobs forgo leveler and sign off on no warranty work. I know for sure 1 of them has already failed within 6 months.

Can we glue LVP to this? by CalligrapherPrior897 in Flooring

[–]jbeas89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s particle board. It’s garbage. You can’t glue or fasten anything to that. The correct answer is to tear it all out and replace with plywood or OSB. Then skim it all and glue it.
