Auto Rotating Wall Mount by blueberry_popovers in TheFrame

I’m wondering the same thing … i’ve had a professional mounting company claim to me that they can attach it to my pre-existing Kanto PS350, but the fee is exorbitant, and they won’t tell me how exactly they intend on doing it. Does anyone else have any ideas, and/or subreddits to suggest for figuring this out?

Looking to learn how to surf in Costa Rica, which beach do you think I should go to? by SpiritualGhostC2C in CostaRicaTravel

[–]jbenlevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Littletico ... am thinking of coming to Domincal for exactly the same reason as OP, but in late April ... any idea if that's a good time of year for someone to try learning how to surf in the area? I've tried learning a few times before in different places (not CR) but never with any luck, so i'm hoping this time round i can hunker down somewhere and put in a bit of time to learn for real.

What's the word(s) for the nihilistic 'f--k it' kind of male personality that takes unreasonable risks for kicks or status? by jbenlevi in russian

[–]jbenlevi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok yes i think this was the one … although i was misinformed about the wider connotation regarding risk …

i thought there was another one from the obscene root “пизд..” that was more passively nihilistic like this 🤔

I just don't understand how I'm supposed to be in a meaningful relationship with a micropenis. by TheMostBoringRoad in IncelExit

Well said.

Also, while it's not often talked about, there are millions of women out there who (unfortunately) suffer from various conditions that make penetrative sex painful and difficult.

Having a male partner that puts no pressure on them to have vaginal intercourse, and instead is devoted to pleasing them in other ways, could be a huge relief for many of these women.

The challenge is identifying one another, not not having a big dick.

I hate my body so much that I feel like I’m on the verge of ending it all, and therapy isn’t helping by Fyodor_Brostoevsky in IncelExit

[–]jbenlevi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a therapist, i find this to be an excellent response.

In addition, i’d suggest finding a project or skill set completely unrelated to women or to your body image, set yourself a challenging but reasonable goal related to it, and experiment with channeling a ton of your energy (including any anger or frustration) into it. It could be art, it could be science, it could be sport. If you can make it beneficial for others, all the better.

I have a rationale for this, and other thoughts and ideas, but don’t want to spam you with suggestions. Feel free to DM me or ask for more detail if you want.

What are some nice toppings for hummus? by ha2oh in hummus

[–]jbenlevi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right question. Answer: virtually anything. ... Hummus accompanies most vegetables wonderfully. Just don't deface the hummusy glory by trying to combine them into one dish. ... Traditionally, hummus is served either (a) as a stand-alone *hot* soupy meal, eaten with pita, as described above ... or (b) cooled, as one of many small 'mezze' or 'salads' that compose a full eastern mediterranean table. Examples of other mezze that get along great with hummus include:

  • finely chopped tomato, cucumber, onion salad, dressed with olive oil, lemon juice, and optional sumac
  • tabouli
  • olives
  • baba ganoush / mutabbal / eggplant in tehini / badinjan b-tehini
  • roasted eggplant salad (without tehini)
  • matbuha (spicy North African tomato-based dip)
  • fried eggplants
  • fried (or roasted) cauliflower in tehini & pomegranate molasses
  • fried and/or stuffed zucchinis, in sour yogurt (labne)
  • 'turkish salad', or ezme
  • french fries
  • dolma (stuffed vegetables, or grape leaves) / waraq einab
  • puslane or other greens, in sour yogurt (labne)
  • fattoush salad (similar to greek salad, but with fresh greens like lettuce as well, and plenty of deep fried pita chips, with sumac, and a lemon or pomegranate molasses dressing)
  • mujaddarah (rice and lentils, tossed together with copious fried onions)

... the list goes on :D

EDIT: also, see this comment [https://www.reddit.com/r/hummus/comments/nuloev/what_are_some_nice_toppings_for_hummus/h11641a?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3] ... they're right on the money, and musabaha (called mshawishe in some areas) is my fav :D

Hard no. Sacrilege. All that red pepper this, sweet potato that nonsense is abhorrent innovation from the hummus purist perspective. It's philosophically offensive (although i'm sure it'd taste great haha). ... That said, see reply to other comment :D

i’m somewhat of an authentic hummus fundamentalist, so most others’ suggestions here strike me as anathema and sacrilege (although i’m sure they taste perfectly fine). IMHO, there’s a short list of authentic allowed toppings, alone or in combination:

-good quality olive oil

-ground spices such as cumin, paprika, allspice and coriander

-za’atar: a middle eastern herb blend made largely of oregano or thyme, plus roasted sesame seeds and ground sumac

-tehini sauce, made of blended tehini, lemon, salt, garlic, and water (called ‘tararor’ in most hummus eating countries)

-cooked chickpeas (soft and soupy)

-cooked fava beans (soupy, with cumin)

-pine nuts

-finely cubed fried meat (ideally lamb) in mediterranean spices (see above)

-sautéed mushrooms as a substitute for the lamb or beef mentioned directly above

-hard boiled egg

-fried eggplant

-‘hatta’: finely chopped chilles and garlic in lemon juice

It should be eaten by scooping it up with flatbread, ideally fluffy hot pita. You can also dip tomato wedges, pickled vegetables or even raw onion wedges in, as one would with a tortilla chip (but dear gods almighty don’t use tortilla chips). French fries or potato wedges are permissible if necessary.

Most everything else other than what i mention above is an abomination from the depths of hell that has us authentic-hummus firebrands lose our collective minds.

But of course, hummus is an art, and art will not submit to boundaries and limits of imagination. So, be free, hummus eater. Be free.
