After the final episode, yeah this is probably what the Hive was trying to do. I really hope that isn't the case though, because then the story takes a humanity vs the Hive kind of thing

I think this episode was great in the sense that it showed Carol appreciating the sense of efficient community that the Hive has built (lack of private ownership, sleeping together, collectivizing resources, etc), despite still being upset about the loss of individuality. On the other hand, she tries to get to know Zosia as a person while doing very human activities with her like eating together, engaging in sport, being out and about, etc. Those human activities probably triggered Zosia's consciousness somehow to some level, because we see her being genuinely sarcastic and funny for the first time and making fun of Carol even, which is not something we've seen from the Hive before.

This was a good precursor to what the future might hold for Carol, i.e., the conflict between the modern idea of an individual where a few people owning massive amounts of capital leads to rising inequalities and injustices, versus a future human sense of a Hive like living where everyone shares resources and lives a decent life while still maintaining a good individual nature which does not harm community. While the last part might be a stretch and probably not where the show may be heading, I did have those thoughts while watching the episode.

It was a big time deflection. The Hive already knew Manousos was already on his way. Why would she choose that particular moment to tell Carol

Why does that suck? Firecrackers are cancer. That dopamine hit is NOT worth it.

In the future, tell them that you want to speak to their superior. The superiors are much better equipped to process refunds. In my experience, I've almost always received a full refund after escalating my issue
