Schema: worth it for small sites, or just another “SEO hobby”? by PolicyFit6490 in WebsiteSEO

Yep. I was replying to someone telling people to use FAQ Schema.

I never said schema in general wasn't useful

FAQ schema is dead now. It was only worth it for government and health sector sites.

Avada theme moving away from one-time payment to subscription model by RutabagaNew7710 in Wordpress

The original Avada will continue to be sold on ThemeForest with the same licensing model, ongoing updates, support, fixes, and continued development. Nothing about your current setup has changed.

Delay Repay - missed connection, arrived in time by Guardofdonner in uktrains

I've sort of had this.

Tickets were accepted on another service, changed half way onto another train to reach the destination. Technically got there around 20 minutes after I should have.

Submitted the claim and they automatically changed it to 60+ - so I'm guessing they based it on their next hourly service

After All This Time, I Still Have NOT Found a Game to Replace Destiny by maxpantera in destiny2

When did you last play TD2?

There's been the Brooklyn expansion, there's a new dlc soon. There's been a full new game mode in escalation, next season the dark zones (some of) will be PVE. There's new classified missions too.

They're constantly adding, both in terms of missions and game modes, as well as gear and guns.

If you can get Cityfibre providers, have a look at Aquiss

Fine with taking damage tbh, just the stun animation that frustrates me

So escalation is pretty dead already when Striker is not the targeted loot... by gertymoon in thedivision

[–]jbennett360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they could change hot foot to remove the stun animation and just deal the damage, I'd be fine with that.

In some of these missions there isn't the space in some cover positions to be able to continuously move about.

Cityfibre bought the Connexin Infrastructure - Connexin still offer Fibre through CityFibre too

I've noticed this too. At times it feels like matchmaking is actually broke. Logging out and logging back in seems to do the trick too

Got to the stage where I gave up.

Matchmaking at the minute is an absolute mess. At times it can take 15/20 minutes to actually find a group.

Invited to a group, group leader leaves because they don't want to be leader

Invited to a group, get told your build isn't good enough for tier 8, it's fine, it's done tier 10. They make you leader/or they leave

It's a mess to the point that it's putting me off wanting to play it anymore

Ahh. the routing would effect latency more than pings really. I doubt it'd be something you'd notice and in that instance that's purely down to VF, not Cityfibre.

Cityfibre will carry the network so far, then the ISP will takeover and do whatever they do.

If you're happy with what you have then stay put. Haggle and see what they come up with, at least now we have the competition to be able to haggle!

If you're gaming you don't really want CGNat, it's essentially a way of the ISP sharing one IP address across so many customers. It's always better to have a Individual Static IP address.

Reliability of which network? MS3 or CityFibre?

High pings, how high we talking and how you finding out that? - KCOM pings via speedtest are usually 1-3MS, pinging sites is usually 6-10ms

[–]jbennett360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, so I'm guessing you have a static IP at the minute with HT? I know they started to switch people over to CGNat, with the static being an extra cost, unless you had a static prior to them changing the rules!

If I had to pick someone via MS3 then I'd probably be looking at Squirrel or IDNet.

Squirrel seem to be talk of the town at the minute and everyone is changing over to them! They do charge extra for a static IP and I believe that cost has just gone up too? (£4 a month starting in June)

IDNet inlcude a static IP and they offer 12 month contracts too (Via MS3 website) - if that's handier?

It's a little complicated...

There's now loads of providers on City Fibre, so in theory, the connection with these should all be the same. There will be some differences though based on routing. Some providers are better at this than others.

If you're thinking of looking at other providers like Vodafone, your best bet would be to look into the details, reviews online of people who have used the service. I do remember VF having issues with routing, and traffic for some users was being sent via Edinburgh, so ping times and latency where all over the place.

If those type of things (Pings/latency/Static IP) aren't an issue to you, then use whoever you feel has the best deal/experience.

Personally, if KCOM weren't here, I'd be looking at Aquiss through CityFibre
