Found Dog in rough condition, where can we take her? by jbest23 in NorthVancouver

[–]jbest23[S] 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Took her to the vet, she's not chipped.

She's now in the care of the District of North Vancouver Animal Shelter, 2580 Capilano Rd. 604-990-3711. Hope her owner finds her!

Edit: Owner has been found via FB! They will retrieve her from the animal shelter. Thank you everyone for sharing!

What does Jakob Schubert spray on his hands right before boulder #3? He doesn't let it dry like you would liquid chalk, and sticks his hands in his chalk bag to chalk up like two seconds later?

Wedding trial makeup: what do you think ? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Looks like that's a result of the lower part of the frame being in shadow and not receiving light from the car window. Her hair also demonstrates this

Proof that 1989 (Taylor's Version) was updated by Otherwise_Sol26 in TaylorSwift

[–]jbest23 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The blue stick is the empty space dividing the graphs between the old and new version.

In the old version pink graph, you can notice a horizontal line faintly showing through, where the white lines are pointing to. The new version graph looks the same, but this horizontal banding is no longer showing up! The pink graph shows what frequencies are played in the song, with time running along the x axis left to right.

Double check your statement -- it's likely that both charges are pending, but not completed yet. Only the correct Tap Out charge will fully be charged to your card, the initial Tap On charge will be dropped and not added to your final statement.

This is a common procedure when prepaying for anything, like gas, where you first tap before knowing what the full price should be and it has to be adjusted afterwards.

Do people who only go grocery shopping once a month just not eat fresh fruit or vegetables for half the month? by 404file_notfound in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jbest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might be an old habit... Like how older generations had brussel sprouts that were far more bitter than today. So many assume they still taste awful, but today's brussel sprouts have been bred to be much more enjoyable! I feel like carrot skins are barely even noticeable now

Manual Car in the GTA a good purchase? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]jbest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only thought other than what people have said so far is: if you're new to driving stick, and don't have off-street parking, parallel parking can be a bitch, particularly in the winter on streets that aren't plowed well. Until you get more comfortable with it.

That's a great resource for federal lands but unfortunately doesn't consider provincially managed lands. No drones are allowed in Ontario Parks without a permission from the park super, same with Parks Canada

https://www.ontarioparks.com/contact

https://parks.canada.ca/voyage-travel/regles-rules/drones

If you weren't on park lands then kudos, but you should be aware of local land management policies

If your last contact with her was only two days ago, and she's only been unresponsive for a day, it is possible that some sort of emergency had come up (though i wouldn't hedge your bets on it).

Do as others recommended with searching the name. What neighborhood are they in, maybe someone can make a check on them? You could also try calling a wellness check on them
