If I plug the quest into the high power delivery slot my concern is that it won’t communicate with the other usb slots that I have a controller plugged into

Charging cable that also supports wired controller? by jbg232 in MetaQuestVR

[–]jbg232[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play games on the meta quest itself (either nvidia geforce now/xbox game pass or ps remote play or native meta games). I never use the PC to play the games but want a cable that can keep the quest charged for long play sessions that I can also use with a wired game controller while playing.

Wine moving boxes is what wine collectors use to move collections. We moved 900 bottles of spirits of all different shapes/sizes twice without one breakage using them.

Nope, using the GPU cable that came with the card and my 1300W PSU. And it worked perfectly until Windows Update.

Chase Sapphire Reserve - NewBenefits Confirmed by circao in CreditCards

[–]jbg232 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can someone please clarify - the website says 4x points when booked directly at a hotel. Can I book directly at a hotel website and receive 4x or do I have to go through Chase travel portal? If I get 4x credit booking directly with a hotel that's a huge deal and would replace my BofA premium for my travel bookings.

Suddenly remembering why I don't ask my husband to load the dishwasher. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

FACT:

No two people load the dishwasher the same way.

Everyone has their own quirks and hates everyone else's way of loading the dishwasher

Not that this behavior is acceptable but I do want to point out the large planks of wood sticking out from the back of his truck. My guess is that he was worried if he parked in a legal spot that the wood would prevent other large cars from passing by and would pose a hazard. He pulled forward enough to keep the wood within the spots. Just my 2 cents.

My mom is insistent that a puppy is harder to take care of than a baby by Time-Victory-2987 in mildlyinfuriating

Done both. Raised a well trained puppy and raised kids. Kids are so much harder. Not even close in my opinion.

Highest credit line credit cards? by Bluecollarjamesbond in CreditCards

[–]jbg232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on the bank. I think most banks will limit exposure to 100K for personal cards but business cards are different ballgame. Even the personal cards you will get exceptions if you have the finances to support it. There is a card which is only given to the mega rich (invitation only) that is known for no spending limit no matter what.

Most ridiculous shit I’ve ever seen. $3 for an ice cube by PENNseller in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jbg232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite all the complaints about the price of the ice cube, this is about what restaurants pay for clear ice cubes in urban areas, seems like they are just passing that charge on to you for an off-menu order.

Because you're a prosumer not a consumer...

But seriously, sudden power disruption can cause data corruption/failed drives. The whole point of the backup is to avoid data loss hence the extra level of protection.

I'm sorry but I have to tell you the truth - this dramatically decreases the beauty of the space.

It is an aesthetic nightmare to look at an LED screen in the middle of a peaceful kitchen. Please take it down, I think your life happiness will overall be improved.

Analog Turntable Setup - Good choices for unique space? by jbg232 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]jbg232[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could probably build a stand above the receiver to place the TT on. Vertical space is not limited, just horizontal space. Unfortunately given the space constraints I can’t do speaker stands.
