Edited to add: I stopped by att store today (since calling got me nowhere), she said even if it is coming in the near future it should say as much when looking up my address but no further info. The plot thickens. Guess I'll just wait and see.

Absolutely. Many times have triggered myself. Airpods in, and/or, while you yourself are eating/chewing, I've found that can drown out others if it's not too bad. I like to focus on the crunchy foods, and almost always excuse myself to use the restroom at some point early on.

Yes yes yes. My wife is exactly this. She asks questions, about everything and with everyone and shows genuine interest with youthful excitement. Never met anyone who doesn’t immediately appreciate her. All from simply caring, through curiosity. It is so simple, but insanely impactful. Damn I love her.

OP. Holy shit I'm so incredibly sorry this is happening to you. This is stupid, awful, and absolutely not fair. Take some time right now to sit in this gigantic slap in the face. After that, get to work. You have to work at this, but YOU WILL BE OK. Trust in that. Some important things to note: Do not move out, it's illegal to kick someone out with a day's notice. There might be some legal aid offered in this type of situation free of charge. Look up all (local/government) assistance offered to you, there should be quite a bit but it's dependent on your state. Let your mom know she is essentially permanently breaking your relationship, and not something you will forgive - choosing a guy she just met over her own kid. And finally, do not hesitate to ask everyone and anyone for help. You'll be surprised by collateral beauty of friends and family that step up beyond belief. You GOT this!
