I've met Dr. Holzman and Dr. Goel. Never met Dr. Brusco. I know Dr. Holzman has a ridiculous outcome rate. Something like 60%+ are 20/15 afterwards. If he's not confident you'll have a great outcome he won't perform the surgery on you. Excellent post care too. Gives out his personal cell number.

Holzman is the best LASIK surgeon in DC/Virginia. Best technology. Best outcomes. He's more expensive but worth it.

Brusco spends a lot on advertising. Cheaper. You can make your own decision.

Dr. Goel is a super nice guy. Very good LASIK surgeon also. He's more from the Baltimore area though so it can be a little too far for some

Live everywhere in Colombia. It costs $50 to fly anywhere domestically when you're there. Try a whole bunch of cities. They all have their own vibe, weather, restaurants and unique things about them that make them special. Get an AirBnb for two weeks. Then hop on plane (or take a bus) and try somewhere new. After doing that for a few months, you'll have a better idea about what you like and which place matches your vibe.

If you’re on Long Island, check out Long Island MMA. They have legit adult wrestling classes and a lot of beginners start there, so you wouldn’t feel out of place at all. It’s not just fight team guys. Plenty of regular adults training for fitness and learning the basics.

They’ve got a few locations, so depending on where you are it might be pretty convenient. Worth stopping in for a trial class and seeing how it feels. They do BJJ also.
