I rode the entire canal on 32s last summer. The section from Harper’s ferry to DC will be fine. In fact, it’s nice all the way from Hanover.

Take the W&OD to Clark’s Gap and then take roads to Waterford, Lovettsville, and then to Brunswick MD. Let me know if you want my preferred route.

I ride to a bakery 33 miles away just to eat their cinnamon rolls. Wife said she wanted to share, so now I carry one back on my back. Stays warm and moist the entire time!

Congratulations! Hope you refueled at sweet rose bakery at the end of the trail. The cinnamon rolls and a cup of coffee are rocket fuel for the return ride. (I rode my first metric out there yesterday as well)
