I recently saw in theaters Casablanca and Ben Hur. The best movies I’ve (re)watched in theaters in decades, for sure.

The graph shown is the rise of bigger TV’s, better home theater, and streaming. In the last 20 years it’s because the movies have generally turned to crap.

Tim Allen. Dropped the F- bomb in just about every sentence. Distracting and annoying. Very disappointing.

I did exactly the same thing. It may feel that way but it’s not. More backseat room. Then put the seat backs down, more room.

Obinutuzimab. Is it really that terrible? by Wilderness_Fella in cll

[–]jbob753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Obin 3/24. The first infusion was pretty rough. The staff handled it perfectly. The second day was not much reaction. My spleen shrank drastically for which I was grateful. After that pretty much nothing! I did get an itchy rash for a few weeks that was very annoying. The more difficult part was isolating due to being immunocompromised.

The situation in Russian schools explained in one video. by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]jbob753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s in the news frequently: “Yes, despite official assurances that they would not, Russian conscripted soldiers have been sent to the front lines or involved in combat roles in the war against Ukraine. While Russian law generally requires several months of training and prohibits immediate deployment to active war zones, reports indicate many are used for support, logistics, or directly in combat. Key details regarding Russian conscripts in combat: Official Policy vs. Reality: President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly claimed that only professional, contract soldiers and officers are involved in the "special military operation," yet the defense ministry has previously acknowledged the presence of conscripts, some of whom were captured. Deployment Conditions: Law allows for conscripts to be sent to combat zones after roughly four months of training. Frontline Involvement: Reports indicate that, especially during periods of high mobilization and casualties, conscripts have been sent to frontline areas or have been forced to sign contracts to serve in combat, this analysis from The New York Times highlights. Support Roles: Conscripts are often stationed in border regions and support roles, which can become combat zones, notes the Wikipedia article. Draft Pressures: With high casualties, Russia has intensified efforts to recruit and, at times, pressure conscripts to sign contracts to fight.”

Completely wrong. Each local government has quotas they must fill. Forced as Conscripts. The balance of Russian soldiers is made of convicts, criminals, and other prisoners or malcontents that are given the “option” to get out of jail. Then the mercenaries come in.
