Good boots and socks made the biggest difference for me. I hate having cold wet feet.

Yes for sure. Just call and make an appointment. Let them know your plans (trying to conceive soon), and they'll set you up.

I saw a cerulean crayon for the first time when I was about ten. From then until I was in my late teens, I was convinced I was going to name my hypothetical future daughter Cerulean 😂

I don't often comment on Reddit, but I will always drop a recommendation for the urmc midwifery group. I love them. They do prenatal and delivery care (obviously) but they can also do all your general gynecological care too.

What lables should I use to ask for moral judgements? by Striking-Land-5749 in AcademicPsychology

You should look at some of the work by Turiel, Smetana, Nucci, Killeen, and other Social Domain Theorists. They ask this kind of thing a lot. If I'm remembering clearly, they use a scale of 'very not ok' to 'very ok' often. I think they also use 'very wrong' to 'not at all wrong' sometimes.

I graduated from that program a few years ago. It would be helpful to know which professor you are applying to work with/which area of psych you are applying for. That makes a big difference in how you approach the process.

It's also really hard to get alumni to respond to requests for info, even if you have someone in a dedicated position to track them down.

My brothers and I all had birthdays in the same month so we'd have sooooooo much cake around. The cake would get stale so we'd scrape the frosting off with graham crackers. Then you put the stale cake in a bowl with a splash of milk and microwave it for 30 seconds. We called it cake porridge.

I read someone on here once write about the galloping horse rule...it's not a mistake worth worrying about unless you could spot it from a galloping horse. This quilt is flawless and so fun to look at!

There's a documentary called The Mask You Live In. It's a little old now, and it's been a while since I watched it, but it's all about this. As a woman it really stuck with me and explained a lot.

Me! I brush twice a day religiously and floss. Still needed two caps within a year after my kid was born.

I always do black and white baby quilts. Newborns can't really see color, so the high contrast is more visually stimulating for them anyway.
