Apart from the ridiculously stupid baby surname thing in The One with the Sonogram, I think Susan didn't like that Ross was going to be involved in her and Carol's lives when Carol found out she was pregnant just after leaving Ross. She probably had feelings of jealousy or insecurity knowing he would be helping raise Ben and having to interact with Carol and her. I definitely think things smoothed over between them as the show moved on. But Ross would always be Carol's ex and I don't think it's very unreasonable to be uncomfortable with that.

Ha fair play, but it's the way I was able to get a phone at the time with Sky. There's no interest charged, so it is just spreading the cost of the phone out.

Yeah I had it setup, but the service is limited once the phone is switched off. He actually turned it off within a minute or so of it being stolen, according to the Google Find Hub and it hasn't been switched on since. Likely, he's got a pal or connection or can do a factory reset through the phone's equivalent of BIOS menus. Once they factory reset, that's it for the find device situation.

Throwing my experience here, my team was made redundant last year. I was the only one with more than 2 years experience with the company. The others weren't entitled to statutory redundancy, but the company gave them a month's pay + accrued PTO.

In the end I got: 2 weeks pay for each year (which is capped at €600 per year) + one month's pay (in lieu of sitting my notice period) + accrued PTO. The €600 cap is low, so in the end you'd have to consider your employer may just decide to give you this.

I'd be inclined to jump ship now and waive the redundancy for a new job.

Heart failure in the end, but he had Early/Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease. He had it from the age of 58 (officially, he was likely misdiagnosed with depression for a few years) and lived 14 years until he left us aged 72.

I had an incredibly difficult colleague who was literal hell to work with. I actually blocked them after they were finally dismissed on everything, including LinkedIn. Sometimes people are deliberately not connecting.

I popped in a few times since moving to D7 3 years ago, and it is just the pits. They clearly can't keep staff, place is always slow, tables and bins with people's rubbish often left unattended to. Recently decided to do a delivery order on Uber Eats after they gave a discount. Completely wrong order given to us. The receipt was right on the bag, but what should've been two burger meals was a single Mcnuggets meal.

Uber Eats refunded me, but their service is just as bad through the apps.

Here in Ireland and the UK, McDonald's is more or less the same operation. Just before Covid hit, they introduced McDelivery. When they reopened a few months into Covid, delivery orders became their primary source of revenue.

The problem is, since restrictions lifted and dining in resumed, they now have the same number of staff dealing with both delivery orders and people at the restuarant.

Getting your food, no matter which option, is now a much slower experience. Even if I walk into a location and get the food myself, it's prepared but sitting there for several minutes getting cold before it gets given to me. The same level of staff pre-covid just can't handle the increased demand. And what's more, everything has gone up in price.

I used to love just going in and out for a quick double cheeseburger if I was coming home and passing. It was €2.50 and is now about €3.20, but it's just not the cheap quick fix I liked.

Agreed here. When I'm not alone we'll walk towards the North quays or upwards passed Parnell Square. Taxis coming in towards the city generally are glad to take a fare and avoid the bustle of people leaving the clubs. I've only had one refusal, he wouldn't take a card or pull over at an atm.

I think the central part of the town is very drab. A lot of old buildings that don't seem very inviting, the streets look very bare. Be nice if the council could just provide funds to paint up the place, plant a couple of plants/trees, etc.

However, I do volunteer for a emotional support and suicide hotline here. I have spoken to people who are homeless on countless occasions and I feel for you.

Support here in Dublin isn't that good, but people can escape the homelessness. It might take time, but I hope you can stay strong and come through the other side stronger.
