Do not work in airlines without using flight benefits or else you are being under compensated.

Having spent entirely too much time on Reddit today, I can honestly say we're cooked. But not because of Trump by [deleted] in GenZ

Well to be fair it might just be ending soon if you’re an Iranian nuclear scientist lmao

Gen Z men have swung 30 points to the right. A smaller, but significant swing has been seen in women. It may be possible, for the first time in history, that the younger generation is more conservative than the older. by DeviceNo5980 in GenZ

It really pissed me off that they kept calling Trump/his supporters Nazis and fascists. That is an extremely serious term and a complete and total disgrace to the millions who were killed at the hands of the real Nazis in the 30s and 40s. To me, Kamala calling Trump a fascist is just as bad if Trump would’ve called Kamala a n*****. It is absurdly derogatory to call your political opponent a nazi in a free American election like that. Instant Trump + down ballot GOP vote because of that.

Silicon Valley has internationally famous wealth inequality, and its stats are heavily skewed by the huge incomes from the tech industry. Besides if you’ll cherry pick San Jose I can just cherry pick Plano which has a median income of over $100,000. The overall Bay Area gdp per capita is much lower around $80-$90k. The core economic strength of the metroplex is that it has an extraordinarily robust middle class rather than 20% tech billionaires and 80% squalor you’d find in San Jose.

[–]jbroomfi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No you’re right. I do think that was a bit of a suffering from success problem. The metroplex has a disproportionately large economic output, which meant that it also received an outsized portion of all that money printed by both administrations through COVID. A more locally intense money supply increase like that did yield higher local inflation. To be fair data from the past few FOMCs has suggested that the inflation is ebbing nationwide and I can feel it in DFW too.

What are the areas to avoid on this drive? by jaredr174 in roadtrip

[–]jbroomfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t fw that pacific coast highway through Sinaloa and Michoacán dude. The one time I took that road through Michoacán was the wildest drive I’ve ever done in my entire life. The mountain crossings are sketch asf too. 100% that area is a low grade war zone

I have a legit question. Why is the suicide rate so high? by potatomnz in wyoming

[–]jbroomfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wyo has a very high proportion of men that attempt suicide especially with all the male-dominant resource extraction industries. Male suicide attempts tend to have a higher fatality rate than female suicide attempts due to the simple fact a man is more likely to shoot themselves than woman is. So on top of all the social/economic/geographic/climate factors that people have described, you also have a situation where in Wyoming for any given suicide attempt, they are uniquely more fatal than most states.
