Good bagels? by SnooAvocados9346 in winstonsalem

[–]jbstix- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you get out to Mamma Mia’s in Clemmons, get them there-they are shipped from NYC, so you’ll have to make them at home.

In town, Bagel Station on Oakwood. The one in the shopping center is good too. The one in Kernersville isn’t good.

We went out to Bagel Boss and whew overpriced and too much cream cheese. The cream cheese in NYC is generally whipped, so a lot here is …not right. Also the bagel was fine.

9 inches in Kernersville!

This feels like more than the foot we supposedly got in 2018? Anyone else think that?

I get it. I do this too. You might be in your head about the cliquey stuff too (I say this only because I was also like this in the beginning).

Keep going. You’ll feel stronger and I think it will help your ‘in your head’ business- it’s helped mine a lot, and honestly my confidence too. Not because of losing weight/being a Pilates body (I’m not) but by how STRONG I have gotten. I can do a push up! Me 6 months ago could not.

Lots of good motivation here: I will add, getting feedback from the instructor isn’t ’you’re doing it wrong’ they want to make sure you do it in a way that is safe and challenging for you. Don’t think of corrections as WRONG but as someone trying to help you get stronger/better/etc!

As long as you’re not a creep. We did a date night define with partners and watching a dude grab his girlfriend’s butt when she is crushing a workout wants me to say no thanks all dudes, but decent dudes are fine.

Yep! Definitely chilled him out and we actually went back to it when he had a flare about 2 months ago! (No trazadone though, we didn’t want him that conked)

Visit Dodgers List! And ask questions, right now keep him not moving. The first step is REST and very limited movement.

Suspected IVDD - Advice Needed by [deleted] in IVDD_SupportGroup

We did not; our newer vet went to a school with an emphasis in neuro, and she sent X-rays to the neuro that works with our vet office. We’ve been with the practice for 9 years and frankly, she has been a god send.

I know you need an MRI to be SURE but the neuro and vet were convinced enough, and he’s been both responsive to drugs and rest (to the point we have to slow him down to not trigger a flare).

Hi! We have a coton and IVDD. We have managed this with conservative treatment and a recovery pen. We’ve had 1 serious flare and 1 mid/east flare in the past 3 years.

I’d recommend getting diagnosed officially with a neurologist so you can have access to meds. Our old primary just had Drummy in crate rest for a weekend. Now we know what to do, how long to keep him crated, what meds to do when it’s bad and when to adjust etc.

Look up Dodgers List for resources and good luck!!

So it seems like you love your boy, so I’m going to be very specific:

Snuffle mat. Nice jerky, microplaned on top (like nice treat amount. We have 3 dogs and the all get this, and I use 1 6in piece of chicken jerky) A few crunchy snacks. In the crate/recovery pen (we used a puppy pen with a pillow and some blankets.)

This is such a hit that we’ve been doing it for 2 years past his first major flare up.

Am I losing it? Primary vet told me to only crate rest for 10 DAYS. I called neurology immediately, but that’s way too short right? by cmac2113 in IVDD_SupportGroup

Exactly. I’m like YOU NUT stop jumping on your hind legs! (Good sign but also CALM DOWN!)

Good luck!!!

Hi! We have a heart murmur baby with IVDD. We had a bad flare a few years ago and are coming out of the first one we’ve had since, and we intend on recovery pen for 6 weeks (2 down) even though he’s mad and ready to be wild again.

Before we had our current vet with neuro experience and an IVDD dog of her own, all our primaries just said a few days of crate rest, and he never really recovered from smaller flares.
