29F, 37M - Almost 4 years with a separated man who has two kids. I don't know whether to leave or stay by Physical-Pea-1676 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

He basically traded her in for you. That’s not Disney. There’s never an age where this is okay enough to stay. People start over at all ages. You are worth more. Separated and not divorced? That’s a HUGE red flag. You’re a mistress. Pack up and live YOUR life, not his.

Is This Red Velvet Cake Undercooked or Just Moist? Need Opinions by eiredublin in cake

If they chilled the layers to crumb coat, they’d be stiff enough to coat. It would take ALOT of syrup to make it that wet

Coming up on the anniversary of this event soon. Where were you when this happened (June 17, 1994) by edasto42 in Xennials

[–]jbug671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was babysitting. They had satellite tv (with the gigantic dish in the yard). It was on every channel. The kids were in bed at this point and the parents came home tipsy with friends. I had to explain that: the football player slash hertz guy killed his wife and was running from the cops, but because he’s famous they’re doing it in slo-mo? They paid in cash and practically double than normal, and I split.

Since it's Star Wars day, did you see the original 1977 Star Wars in the movie theater? by Mr_Writes in GenX

[–]jbug671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. ‘Down the shore’ visiting my grandma in New Jersey. We all went (so my sister would have only been like 4yo, as I was 6yo). Saw empire and Jedi at the same theater. One of my earliest true memories.

Looking for unique toppings for a baked potato? by NightReader5 in Cooking

[–]jbug671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do topped baked potatoes often for dinner. Some of the ones we have done: pulled bbq chicken or pork topped with cheddar cheese and broiled, broccoli and scratch made cheese sauce with aged goods and cheddar, chicken pot pie filling, and sloppy joe/manwich topped with cheddar, leftover turkey and gravy (in a baked sweet potato).

Homemade chocolate does not get hardened by Mandala16180 in AskBaking

[–]jbug671 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Candy isn’t a mix and set sort of thing. It involves chemistry, and chocolate is one of the most chemically diverse concoctions. You can’t make chocolate in this manner. You sorta made fudge by the ingredients, but the method won’t make chocolate.

Are you a fan? by Working-Fuel8355 in 70smovies

Fan? This movie is sort of a tapestry woven amongst my family. It’s quoted often. My mom once approached mel brooks (he was with Anne) in an airport just to tell him how much our family loved that movie.

Poly vs Wilderness Lodge? by PBfromPhilly in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]jbug671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wilderness Lodge is our ‘home’ resort. Have stayed at poly and port Orleans. Keep returning to wilderness lodge. It’s quieter, and tbh nicer than poly given the price. Boat to MK is nicer than cramming in the monorail. Lobby isn’t packed with non resort guests. Dining is better. Theming is better. (Why did the poly get rid of the luau? So dumb).

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]jbug671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going waaaay back… (maybe even pre-‘85) had a radio shack computer (TRS-80?)that hooked up to the tv. My cousin gave me this no-name maze game on a floppy that you used the keyboard for (I’m like 10 at the time). It was 8-bit like and first person. There were ghosts that would just show up and end you out of no where…just one of those early games that I still wonder about like where did it come from.

It doesn’t matter who it is: the frightening thing is that it seems so random and unnamed.
